If I could live here I would. Appetizer platter was delicious, mains came out steaming hot, quality and service was superb. Every bite was amazing, from start to end. We finished off with dessert and hot tea and almost could not leave. Chef's kiss!
The food, as always, is amazing. Despite going on a holiday, the owner initially told us that the restaurant was only taking reservations and the kitchen was short - staffed. Hence, service would be delayed. We appreciated the fact that he told us at the beginning, but stuck it out. He gave us extra bread made right there that was delicious and warm, and the eggplant dip while we waited for the main course. We always come back here because the food never disappoints. And it didn't this time as well. Definitely going back.
The restaurant is a heritage place. The building is 150 years old and the inside is 90% kept as original . The food is better than any other Persian restaurant to be honest but I'm not a huge fan of Persian food. The hummus is really good! The bread is amazing. The decoration is really good and you would feel you are at home. The place is very quiet and nice. The music is a different level, all cover music! The windows are very big and looking at the street. There are few plants inside and it gives it a great feeling. The flooring is hard wood and clean with a historic texture that I cannot describe in words. The owner is very friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a place to have a nice date, you got this place. I would give it 4.5 but since the owner treated us with baklava so I'm giving it 5 stars . Do I recommend it... Yes, for sure. Will I be going there again, yes. Best for dates! There is a nice cafe next door. Next time I'll be visiting the restaurant and the cafe, both are owned by the same owner. Hope you enjoyed the detailed review!
First time at this restaurant and it didn’t disappoint. Food was tasty and delicious. I don’t usually like tomatoes but they made me love it. Will definitely come again.
Fantastic! We had the veal and lamb shank - tender and unbelievably delicious! Well worth a visit or take out!!
I come from a middle Eastern background so I tend to compare what I eat at these types of restaurants to what my mother made and she is well known for her cooking abilities. I loved every bite of every dish we had. The flavors were amazing. The food quality was top-notch. The service was excellent with the owner coming out and suggesting items for us. We sampled quite a range from the menu and all I can say is to just go there, look over the selection and try it for yourself. You will not be disappointed!
This is the best place to have middle Eastern foid they have very fresh Chicken and they have best Falafel in the town do visit them if you are a foody as i am . I love the atmosphere of the restaurant and the decoration is fabulous. I will surely recommend everyone to visit them one atleast. And lastly the owner is very sweet too, love from Scarborough....
First time at this place. Arrived at closing and the owner was willing to take my order. Food was fresh and tasted good. Portions were large. Everything was packed with reusable containers. I recommend checking this place out. Also, I noticed they sell some food products as well. I asked the owner if he sells traditional turmeric. Loveeeed this place ! The food and service was amazing. We ordered falafel, hummus and lentil soup 20/10 .
My wife and other couple dined in for birthday celebration. As always Robert the owner was courteous and friendly and made sure all our dining needs were met. We ordered the savoury kobadeh with delicious appetizers. Whenever we order from Kababa we know that we always get authentic cuisine.
