What can I say it was a lobster poor boy.... Bread was fresh and soft, lobster was deep-fried perfectly. Sauce with spicy but not over spicy. Just might taste could have used a little bit more sauce and or male but it was a really good sandwich. The same for the lobster roll. Could have used a little bit more Mayo but it was also a really good sandwich. Servers were really nice. Restaurant was clean. Pepsi was cold.
We went to this location to try their shrimp roll which we would be catering for our wedding. Very high quality shrimp, crispy but soft bread and it was fresh. Honestly took us back to Maine! Recommended
I love the shrimp roll here! The New England bun is toasted perfectly and the tarragon mayo is tasty. The staff is so friendly, too. My husband gets the salmon and enjoys that. I just wish they had fountain soda.
Contrary to its name, this place has more than shrimp. That said, I had a ten piece with large fried shrimp, plenty of fries, and two coleslaw cups with a choice of sauce I had Buffalo sauce. My dining companion had fried gator with fries and coleslaw. We were both pleased with our meals: quickly served, hot, plentiful, and reasonably tasty. The employees were all friendly and easy to work with. The place is nothing fancy but I was glad to have a hot meal that was filling at a good price.
Growing up as a kid, I was fortunate to spend many evenings with my family exploring a variety of restaurants throughout the area. I can remember scanning the menu for the “good stuff” like shrimp dinners so I could brag to my friends that I just ate like a king. At times, I could feel the glare from across the table for always ordering from “that side of the menu”, I think that's where I learned to finish every bite. Heading into Just Shrimp brings back memories of ordering the “good stuff”. Father and daughter team, John and Christina Mihalos, have brought a strong passion for excellence to Tinley Park by offering their customers a variety of the best quality shrimp, sandwiches, and meals to choose from. Over the last 6 years, Just Shrimp has maintained a strong focus on the homemade preparation of much their menu and it's rewarded them with much popularity and a loyal following of happy customers. Being a big shrimp fan myself, Just Shrimp sits at the top of the list when it comes to finding the best order of jumbo fried shrimp around. Not only are their shrimp gigantic in size but they are a premium wild-caught shrimp which are peeled, deveined, and breaded in-house. Just Shrimp offers their jumbo fried shrimp by the pound as well as the option of selecting a Shrimp Pack of 4,6,10,25,35,50 or 100 pieces, which includes fries and coleslaw. It’s no surprise that they go through approximately 11,000 shrimp a week. While their jumbo-fried shrimp are perfection straight from the fryer, I also appreciate the selection of dipping sauces. Hot, buffalo, spicy, mild, tartar, cocktail, and BBQ are the choices of sauces to choose from and each one is its own world of flavor. A popular sandwich choice by customers and one of my personal favorites at Just Shrimp is the Lobster Po’ Boy. There’s no question why this sandwich is a crowd favorite, it’s fresh lobster in a sandwich! John, Christina, and their staff take great pride in preparing their lobster creations with fresh Maine Lobster delivered live to their restaurant. The Po'Boy comes with a hefty serving of fresh fried lobster over lettuce, tomato, and a spread of a homemade spicy sauce on a French roll. This is one of those types of sandwiches that I regret not ordering a second one, they’re that good! I’m eager for my next visit to Just Shrimp in hopes to keep chipping away at their menu and try their Salmon Steak Sandwich and Louisiana Shrimp Boil.
Ordered fried shrimp with fries. Fries were just okay. Could have been cooked a little more and salted. Shrimp batter could have used a little season too. Had to dip both in a little cup of sauce for flavor. Parking: Parking space close to front door.
The food was absolutely horrible! My catfish was extremely fried so hard you couldn't chew it and it wasn't catfish, the Cole slaw was spoiled, if you really know food, I have tried this place maybe 3 times to see if they have changed and they continue to disappoint me! The food was so bad I didn't take it back because it wasn't worth explaining. I went across the street to S2's and received some great tasting fish. I showed them my order from Just Shirmp and they couldn't believe what they were selling. The fries were white looking and undercooked. The Shirmp they are trying to saves they are cutting in half with the tail and frying, HORRIBLE! DeCola's on western and 107th fish, Shirmp and seafood is AWESOME, take the drive. S2's fish is EXCELLENT, grilled or fried with delicious real vegetables! Please stop supporting this place, when fish start turning bad the put lemon juice and seasoning to cover the spoilness. You have to know food and a lot of people don't know what the are eating. If you aren't going to sell delicious, fresh food don't come to America and sell garbage. Fast service for sure, but before you step in line be sure of what you want, the lady that runs the register is fast and doesn't seem like she likes to wait on undecided people. Overall very satisfied with how fast the food was made and the taste of the food was on point. Lobster roll is great here, the bun was nice and toasted and not greasy or soggy like other places, perfect amount in the sandwich to leave you satisfied. Shrimp basket, they are jumbo shrimp, and not greasy, batter was cooked just right, came out nice and golden. You got yourself some returning customers!
If your a Shrimp Fan, better try this place. Same if your a Catfish lover. These are our two Go To Items but they have a large Menu to choose from.Food: 4/5
The name is a tad misleading. They have salmon and lobster too fried, grilled, boiled, not just shrimp. However, the fried shrimp are expectedly delicious. Fried Golden Brown with a light batter than doesn't deceive you are getting more breading than shrimp. I don't get out this way much but for this I have more of a reason to come. They are open until 10p Mon-Thurs so if now is a good time, I suggest you make it happen. Definitely a MUST to return. Bonus Eagle Gun Range is down the road. Shoot then Shrimp sounds like a good idea to me.
