Just stopped by Juno Provisions to get a couple items to go and the experience was excellent. The cute storefront is right on the Drive with options for dine in or take out. Food: Both the Omakase Chirashi bowl and the Wagyu Beef Curry tasted delicious. The sushi rice in the chirashi bowl was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The assorted seafood, egg and shisho leaf were fresh and tasty. Would definitely come back to try the other menu options.
Decided to get some takeout today and ordered from Juno via Uber eats. The food itself was quite tasty. The salmon oshi wasn’t bad but didn’t have as much of an umami flavor compared to other oshi spots like minami or green leaf. I think the price point was too expensive at $14 for 6 pieces. The assorted inari trio $11 were really tasty! Great flavor and well packed with ingredients.
Tried their chirashi sushi rice bowl last time and really enjoyed it so decide to return to try other items. Got the Wagyu Brisket Donburi, Wagyu Beef Curry, Assorted Inari Trio and Bara Chirashi. Everything was well-prepared with nice presentation. A great place to grab takeout.
The quality of the sushimi was excellent and reasonably priced. I ordered the omakase chirashi my favourite was the mackeral and the scallop. Salmon Oshi is absolutely delicious. My absolute favourite was the assorted Inari Trio. The seafood was fresh, the tofu wrapper was nicely marinated. Everything was well balanced. Juno become one of my favourite places to get my sushimi fix.
The name is misleading, you would think it's a grocery. It's more of an artisan sushi place. Chef Jun is a master of his craft. The first thing that went through my mind, is why is a fellow of your talent here. It's almost a sin to see such beautiful and tasty works of art in lowly disposable containers. I would expect to pay 60% more in a fancy location on beautiful china or lacquer ware. First let's look at the ingredients: The rice is of much higher quality and has smaller grains so there's more surface area per volume to appreciate the sushi vinegar taste. It's kept at the correct temperature to give you the right texture and consistency. The seafood ingredients are fresh tasty and clearly the prime cuts. The omakase chirashi was excellent. The unagi, red tuna and wild sockeye salmon were the highlights. It's served with shiso leaves for that great flavor. You should dine in because the house soy sauce is much better than the Yamasa takeout soy sauce. He takes inari sushi to a next level by integrating gunkan sushi art. My wife enjoyed it so much, I'll have to drive across town to buy more. The wagyu beef curry is a bit more cooked than I would have liked I like my beef medium raw, but it's at bargain prices and the taste is excellent. Not the best ambiance but excellent food at discount prices.
Not good for dine in. A bit pricy comparing to other qualified sushi restaurant. No tea or water is provided. I ordered $20 omakase chirashi with tip and tax, it costed $29. Food is not bad but I was bit hungry after finishing it. If it's take out only, better to describe more that you guys do not provide dine in service. Service was rude too. Not a recommended place here.
Fresh and delicious- I was pleasantly surprised! The Inari trio was like a piece of art, each bite with a different flavour. Perfect for if you like variety. I'll be back!
In simple conclusion: Fresh seafood at affordable price. Unlike the impression from pictures on google map disposable chopsticks and plates, every dishes are not pre-made, so they are actually freshly made on order! I would recommend to try at least the inari sushi here $10 for 3 pieces.
Walked by this place many times with no idea what I was missing out on! Had a fantastic bara chitashi don to go. Each component rice, fish, shrimp, egg, etc. tasted high quality and expertly prepared. Did not expect this based on the attractive-but-modest storefront and very reasonable price point. Very happy to have this in the neighborhood and intend to return.
Ordered takeout over 10 times at Juno, their wild salmon oshi and prawn oshi both taste amazing and are high quality! Finally a good aburi place that’s fair priced and not downtown :
