Jumbo Burger Restaurant

I have been going to the Jumbo for several years. The peameal was one of my favorites, it used to be 3 large thick pieces. I always took some home. I was there a few months ago, I believe in July and I was shocked when I got the peameal. Four small pieces about an eighth of an inch thick. I tolerated the high price 38.00 for breakfast for two but this was the last straw. It was totally not worth the drive to Pickering. Sadly a large number of regular customers have stopped going there. It is just too expensive for the food the are now giving. This is what it used to look like, check it out now.

Amazing food, they have the best fries and soup. The burgers taste great. People working there are very friendly.

Best service I have ever had. The chef and waiter were so nice and funny! First time I have been there and I will definitely return. They made us all feel like we had known them forever. The fries were crispy and the sandwiches were delicious! So pleased with this restaurant they had a lot of options and I want to eat them all! Please check this place out if you have the time and an appetite, you can dine in now!

I've been going to jumbo for almost 30 years. Great food great people great value, never leave hungry. The breakfast is amazing and if you have the chance try the club sandwich.

Good portion sizes, worth the money you pay. I've had a better burgers. But it was still tasty. The mom and pop restaurant is extremely friendly to dinners and gave us the extra fries. However running a cash only restaurant. And being open on a Friday from 12 pm to 5pm is a huge disservice to potential new customers. Please invest in a other ways for people to pay. It wasn't fun walking out to find a bank machine to pay.

I absolutely love this spot - it is the ultimate greasy spoon in Durham. The food is fantastic, super well priced, the service is top notch and the atmosphere is super relaxed and comfortable. Their breakfast is my favourite, but they do make a delicious burger! This is WAY better than any breakfast change, more generous portions and awesome people. THIS is the spot to go to for great breakfast or just a laid back, low priced home cooked meal.

Staff are amazing and food is awesome! We often do breakfast here. Sherry is the best! We walk in and she always greets us by name with a big smile. She doesn't even bat an eye before she's coming to our table with my sons chocolate milk and a pot of coffee. She takes a genuine interest in her customers and had our order memorized in no time! The food is always up fast and tastes delicious and is very well priced! Highly recommended for breakfast!
