We were fortunate to work with Joseph Pellizzari on a couple of different real estate deals. In the first instance, Joe professionally guided us regarding the risks and liabilities of purchasing the condo with little accumulated in the corporation's reserve fund. We were disappointed to not ultimately close on the property, but we knew in our hearts that Joe's advice saved us considerable $$$ in the long-term (as we would have been stuck paying ever-increasing maintenance fees to make up for evident shortfalls in the condo corporation failing to establish a strong reserve fund). Joe graciously didn't charge us for his time and expertise in this instance, but rather he wished us the best of luck in our real estate search. He noted that he would be pleased to represent us again when we found the right property (at his standard flat rate).
Months later, when we had found another property to purchase, we simply reached out to Joe again. Despite how busy his practice was, he warmly offered to support us again with our real estate transaction. Closing was an utter breeze - while we signed the paperwork, Joe was able to confirm that our bank had transferred the monies to the seller's lawyer. He kept us apprised of what we could expect in terms of the timing for possession of the property; and what we could expect from him thereafter.
All around, we were quite impressed by the service, and by the no-nonsense advice offered. His advice is worth its weight in gold! Thank you, Joe!

Great advice and representation. Joe helped us when a family member got into some trouble. He provided us with great advice before our court date and negotiated an outstanding result. Would not hesitate to recommend him to family and friends.

We used Joe back in 2008 for a real estate transaction. It was our first home purchased. I was very diligent about checking everything over. Years after the transaction closed Joe's office contacted us saying we did not cash a $5,000 bank draft they sent us after balancing the closing costs. I advised we never received the bank draft and his office was to look into this for me and they never called me back. I called and left several messages and emails never got a return call back. I even had our bank manager email his office saying they can assist with the bank draft being years out of date and nothing. I even considered reporting this issue to the law society/bar association but to be honest was too busy and disgusted about this whole situation.

I hired Mr. Pellizzari after being "allegedly" involved in some very serious criminal offenses. Over the two years it took to finally have the matter resolved. (due to our slow justice system) I had grown quite fond of him, he was always punctual and very pleasant during all of our many interactions. He made it very clear that I could call or text his personal cell phone any time with any questions I may have. He was always very honest with his answers, and had a gift for explaining things so that the average person like myself, could easily understand. He did not make me any promises, but thanks to his vast knowledge of our legal system, and his ability to think quickly on his feet, in the end we got the results we had hoped for!
I would highly recommend Mr. Pellizzari to anybody who finds themselves in trouble with the law. Your fate would be resting in very competent and capable hands. My hats off to you Joe!
(him and his wife even picked me up on Valentines Day after my processing)
As far as reviews go... If you are considering him to represent you, I suggest you make the call!

We used Joe P. for two real estate transactions. Our biggest mistake was using him the second time. I mean after how awful he was the first time, he really couldn’t be that bad all the time, right? Wrong. During our first encounter with Joe everything seemed fine up until it came time to sign all the paperwork, which he left until the last minute. Once everything was signed and the deal had closed, it was months before the paperwork arrived to us in the mail. And this was after hounding him with emails and phone calls, the large majority of which went unanswered. In the end all was well and we were simply left a little disgruntled. Now as I said we did use him a second time, this was long after we had forgotten what it was like working with him the first time. And surprise surprise this time was nearly the same as the first. Signing everything went well – but for some reason he couldn’t coordinate with our bank and get them the paperwork on time. Our bank couldn’t even get a hold of him to request the paperwork after numerous attempts. So he ignores clients and the banks, just wonderful. Once the bank got what they needed things seemed like they were going to work out just fine. But yet again, he didn’t send the paperwork to us along with the money that he owes us from the disbursements. Nothing…not even an invoice. It has been months now and we have nothing to show that this transaction even occurred other than the fact that he cashed our check. Since then every phone call and email has gone unanswered. Don’t get me wrong he gets the job done, eventually, some of the time. His services are generally cheaper and there is good reason. He’ll tell you, as he told me, that it is because he is better than the rest. The truth is - it’s because he’s not. You get what you pay for. When it comes to lawyers, don’t cheap out, go to a better lawyer, fork over the few extra hundred bucks and get some decent service.
