The New Jose Lake Store & Resort is your up north getaway. Store & cabin rentals with 200 ft of frontage on all sports Jose Lake.

Story

Located in the heart of the Huron National Forest the almost 2-acre resort features over 200 feet of frontage on a beautiful 129-acre all sports lake making it your perfect up north getaway!

Stay in one of our cozy cabins and enjoy all that nature has to offer. From early morning fishing to late night campfires there is always something to keep you busy. Play a game of volleyball or horseshoes, take a walk in the woods, kayak around the lake, have an afternoon barbecue, or simply relax beach side.

Jose Lake Store and Resort has a long history in the area and holds great memories for many people. Our mission is to share what a wonderful place it is with as many people as we can. We understand that our customer's time is valuable and money is hard earned. Our goal is to provide quality items in our store and amazing stays at our resort for affordable prices. After all, we're not here for a long time; we're here for a good time!

The cabin was great and the people were friendly! The owner took us out on her pontoon boat which was wonderful. We loved being able to bring our dog and our granddaughter had plenty to do there!
Jose Lake Store and Resort was everything we wanted and more. We stayed in cabin 3 w/ 2 adults, 3 children and 2 dogs; it was perfect! The resort as a whole was more than we could ever imagine. We loved that the kids could play at the playground while we sat around the picnic table at our cabin and we could still see everything. The cleanliness was amazing especially since we were there during the summer of COVID. We never had to leave the resort to find things to do or grab something we forgot. The store had anything we needed and more! The prices were comparable to any small town grocery store and everything was well stocked. Every morning, they would rake and clean the beach. The water was so clear we could see fish swimming right next to us. The kids really enjoyed the "lily pad" that was off the end of the dock too. All the guests were very friendly and it was nice to enjoy a fire at the end of the day. Both the resort and beach are dog friendly and that was MAJOR bonus for us. We cannot wait to get back to visit next year and hope to make this our family to-go spot for summer vacations! Thank you Jose Lake Resort!
I was highly impressed with these rustic cabins. The cabin had the feeling of an older time with a lot of new day conveniences. There was a new flat screen TV in the cabin. The cabin had new white linens and towels. The rooms were clean. The beach was clean and accessible. There was a new grill right outside the cabin. The cabin came equipped with pots, pans, and place settings. There is a convenience store located on the property that was open until 8 pm that was well stocked for all those items you forget while packing. The owner was super friendly and very accommodating. I will definitely be going back next year. I have found my new favorite place to vacation!
Great place for a family vacation!! We rented two cabins both were very clean and had all the everything you needed. The owners were great stopped by to chat and make sure everything was good. We enjoyed it so much we have already made reservations for next year for all 5 cabins. We can't wait for next years trip.Rooms: 5/5
Nice little store, the newest owners have really put some work into the place, the staff are for the most part local to the lake so they know a lot about the area and are friendly just like pretty much everyone with around here. Although I can't say exactly how the rentals are I can say they've definitely improved so if you stayed here in the past and are looking at it again, they're better so maybe check it out. The store has a bunch of the essentials as well as some merch like hoodies and stuff and some snacks for chilling out on the beach or boat. They have a gas station too that allows you to fill up your car, boat, etc. They also host a lot of cool events, I know they did volleyball tournaments, fireworks, community clean up cool cause they had food after. Pretty much, I love this lake and I love this store.
Jose Lake is just beautiful. The place is secluded and quiet, very relaxing. The store has everything you may have forgotten, at very good prices. The owners of this place are the nicest, most hospitable people and are amazing entertainers. You're bound to have a great time! Can't wait to go back!
This place speaks "home away from home" more than any resort I've been around. A very clean, fun, respectable and welcoming environment that anyone can enjoy and feel like they've been family for years. As a local resident, I can say there is never a dull moment with the jose lake resort family!Rooms: 5/5
We had planned on staying two nights but eagerly left after one. Our cabin was dirty, and smelled of cigarette smoke, even though No Smoking signs were clearly posted. There were bugs in the bed, not bedbugs, but still gross and the doors closed on their own all night. The fans provided barely worked and the windows only opened after we tried for an hour, so the cabin was extremely warm with almost no circulation. The cabins were advertised with Wi-Fi, but there was no Wi-Fi connection, so we had to walk to the store to use the internet. The TV only received one channel and the screen display was partially blocked. Save yourself the money and do not stay here.
My family and I loves Jose lake it is such an amazing place to take a vacation. All the workers are very welcoming and friendly. The lake is very clean and my children loved to swim. The cabins are very well maintained.Rooms: 5/5
We came here for a small visit, this little store is the perfect place for things you for got to pack. They have a large variety of snacks, milk shirts and hoodies. They make pizza and have delicious ice cream at a great price deficit would Recommend the ice cream
