Had a late lunch with my friends there last week. The staff was really nice and she recommended many specialties for us. I personally like #13 noodle the most. #1 and 2 burgers are tasty too but they are a bit oily! Xian cold noodles definitely worths a try!! The noodle texture is unique and tastes kinda refreshing. The price was reasonable too!

From the moment you walk in, you know it's gonna be good. Small restaurant owned by family people. The food was amazing!!! Spicy and flavourful. Noodles very chewy, and so delicious. The owner is very nice and keeps filling my hot tea. This place is so good that after we went in, another group came in as well but it was already packed. Highly recommend to make a reservation. I was lucky to get a table without. definitely coming back again!

The cumin lamb burger was delicious! Loved the noodles as well altho it was a tad bit on the oily side. Flavor was great tho. Wish there were a few more pieces of beef as they were delicious! Hasn't had the cucumber dish in awhile and Joojak did not disappoint! I can't really handle spice and they were able to accommodate while still ensuring everything is tasty. Got take out and was happy everything was still hot by the time I got home

My wife and I had a great experience eating here today. The staff was very friendly and the service was excellent. I was born in the northeast region of China and the food here is very authentic. Especially the pork and chive dumplings. It reminded me of how my family back home was in China would make it. The dumpling sauce which is a blend of soy sauce and vinegar from this dish reminds me of the same sauce my family uses when we eat dumplings at large family gatherings. For a moment, I felt like I was back home with my family. Highly recommend the dumplings and xian cold noodle dish here.

Amazing Xian noodles. I am in love I had their Lamb cumin bun. It was not gamey, but perfectly seasoned with a touch of spicy & cumin. Bun is crispy on the outside, yet soft on the inside. The spinach hand pulled noodles with chili oil & pork was also delicious! The noodle is nice and chewy. I will come back again soon to try other dishes.

Had the Chili oil chicken and hand pulled noodles. Overall a bit overpriced, but authentic flavours. Nothing too outstanding but a good change from the usual Chinese food. Staff was very nice!

The Xi’an experience - Joojak restaurant - Kingsway This restaurant is run by a lovely couple where the wife Regina is the front of house & her husband the chef behind the scenes cooking up DELICIOUS & I cannot stress that enough, delicious dishes , soups yes soup! Their broths are quite flavourful hand made dumplings, noodles, sides, sandwiches and main dishes. We spoke to the owner she makes the dumplings by hand! You cannot go wrong with your order here. It’s a small restaurant and they are often packaged especially on the weekends. But it has a very welcoming vibe to it. So today’s dishes we enjoyed are: 1. Lotus roots - this is MUST TRY for everyone. The lotus roots are tossed in a fragrant chilli garlic and spring onion sauce/dressing and they offer a wonderful crunch as you bite down. You can just go on chomping down on them. Delicious and healthy for you. 2. Lamb burger - these Xi’an style perfectly toasted on the outside with the perfect crusty and inner doughy texture of the bun combined with the yummy slices of lamb and generous capsicum bell pepper are another wonderful starting dish. These burgers are loaded al the way. You can also try their pork burger which is equally if not more juicy than this and it’s a decedent journey for your taste buds for sure. Do try it with their signature chilli sauce on the table just to add a little something to the pork burger. 3. Spinach hand pulled biang biang noodles - THESE NOODLES!! These are one of the perfect main dishes to try. The noodles are long wide and flat toasted in some light brown ish sauce aromatic sauce and topped off with a little chilli powder, garlic, bean sprouts and bok choy. The best noodles I’ve ever had. They have an unbelievable velvety smooth texture and an excellent mouth feel to them. I could eat bowls of this dish. My mother really enjoys it too! 4. Chicken wings - these are mouthwatering perfectly fried chicken wings wok toasted with chilli potato slices , black beans, chillies, and very fragrant peppercorns. You have to try it to believe it. Other excellent dishes to try are: 1. Their chicken in chilli oil 2. Any of their dumplings and soups 3. Wok fried shrimps 4. Anything else the owner recommends to suit your taste buds. **this is NOT a paid post, my mother and I genuinely cherish this place & visit it at least x2 a month Thank you for reading.

The service here is wonderful. The steamed chili chicken was amazingly tender and juicy!!! The sauce is 10/10! Biangbiang noodles and Xi'an pork burger were great too

The venue is quite small so good for smaller occasions but the food is 10/10 authentic xi’an dishes that taste amazing and is affordable. Dumplings are more veggie oriented so warning there if you prefer meat stuffing but the noodles are definitely a recommendation!

We arrived around 8pm and ordered the pork burger, biang biang noodles, liangpi and steamed chicken with chili sauce. Since it was the end of the day, they had run out of liangpi but they were so nice and made a fresh batch for us! Everything we ordered was fantastic. The biang biang noodles tasted really fresh and the steamed chicken dish is so unique and tasty. The chilies and sauces are so fragrant. We were visiting from out of town and this was the best meal we had in Vancouver. Can't wait to come back again when we get a chance!
