Congee Noodle King

Awesome noodle shop, reminds me of the noodles I'd eat in Hong Kong. Prices are great and the selection is vast. The deep fried minnows with spiced salt are . I could eat a bucket of these. My recent order was for take out and they were still crispy after a 15 min drive back to our place. I had some leftovers and microwaved them the next day and still delicious and crispy. Congee Noodle King is always on my list to visit when I'm in Vancouver.

I’ve been trying to find a place that reminds me of home back in Winnipeg. This place is a great place. They know how to use the wok to flavour the food well with its high temp. You should try there black bean beef for that example. It’s a small place but it just feels like home nothing fancy just right.

Very Good Food in fresh. However Congee not like the old day before pandemic. The table less than before. Noodle and Congee Conner product not like the old days good. The kitchen still can maintain a good gourmet with Aroma dishes

Best congee in town with good value for money. They offer wide variety of congee at a very reasonable price. The Chinese donut and fried tofu is perfect match with the congee. Their fried noodle is also a wise choice. The place is neat, clean and most importantly they observed social distancing. Excellent service, too.

Traditional Chinese restaurant. Really busy place lots of neighborhood business. Food is good, hot, tasty. Service is fast and efficient. Make reservations or there's quite a lineup. Parking is metered on the street.Food: 4/5

Their congees are amazing, but I can’t say the same for the rest of their dishes and the service is debatable as well. But that’s usually the case for Chinese restaurants, so I’m not surprised as there aren’t many servers and they’re trying their beef with the mass amount of customers. Overall, my favourite place for congee in Vancouver.

Flavorful comfort food. Everything was good overall.. mmm .. hot and sour soup might be a little too spicy.

Ordered the salty fish and chicken fried rice and devoured it before I got to take a photo... But got a few snaps of inside the restaurant as I waited for the take out. A lot less tables than before, no dividers, but still amazing food! Update: came back for lunch, it's busy! But not too long of a wait because they're so efficient. Food was delicious and amazing as usual. It really hit the spot. Ordered the chicken mushroom congee, beef brisket and tendon noodle soup and of course the salty fish and chicken fried rice. Everything was delicious. Also love that they have reduced the number of tables so we're pretty well spaced apart from others

Have not been back since COVID. Was out early doing errands, decided to have some congee for breakfast, one of the quintessential item for a Chinese breakfast. The restaurant is open at 10am! It is a no frill Chinese restaurant, they had done some reconfiguration of the tables, not so tightly packed pre-COVID. The tables are nicely spaced, place looks a lot more tidy & clean. If you are looking for congee… look no further, this is the place! We ordered the large bowl of dried oyster, century eggs & shredded pork. Unfortunately they do not have the fried donut fritters that goes superbly well with congee. The congee was flavourful & full of ingredients to the point that the congee was thick like oatmeal. No complaints there. At 10am, you can order fried noodles! It is a full menu available at such a early morning. We were satisfied with our congee.

Price is affordable. Servers are friendly. Hard to find a parking spot. For dinner, we ordered Kai Lan with minced garlic, chicken softbone, prawn with XO sauce minced beef congee and spicy crab. Foods came out just after under 10 minutes. Kai Lan dish had too much of wine smell. Chicken softbone was good but with strong smell of vanilla. Congee was surprisingly good; at first, we thought it was quite bland but the more we eat, the better it tastes. Crab was so delicious. Prawn with XO sauce was just okay. Will try other dishes next time.
