Delicious steak, friendly and attentive service, high end cocktails - all for a high price that you'd expect from a luxury steakhouse. Listen to basically all of the reviews and get the hash browns! Subtracted one star because at basically $50+ for a steak, it wasn't absolutely melt in your mouth that I've had before or made myself. Parking: Street parking available but hard to come by. There is a parking ramp on the same block that has $3 nightly parking
Johnny Delmonico's Steakhouse is a dining experience that truly stands out from the rest. From the moment you step through the doors, you are greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that sets the tone for the rest of the evening. The staff are friendly and attentive, always going above and beyond to ensure that your experience is nothing short of exceptional. But the real star of the show at Johnny Delmonico's is, of course, the steak. The cuts of meat are expertly selected and cooked to perfection, with a variety of cooking styles and sauces to choose from. Whether you prefer your steak medium-rare or well-done, there is something for everyone here. In addition to the delicious steaks, the rest of the menu is equally impressive. The seafood options are fresh and beautifully presented, and the sides and appetizers are equally impressive. The wine list is extensive and pairs perfectly with the food. Overall, Johnny Delmonico's Steakhouse is a must-visit for any steak lover. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the service is top-notch, and the food is absolutely mouthwatering. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in search of a truly memorable dining experience.
We made reservations on Tuesday night for our 8 years wedding anniversary. It was very busy night so we were glad to have a reservation. Took long for the food but worth the wait! Professional wait staff, elegant decor white line tables, high-back tufted booths, nice ambiance etc. We had yummy Ahi Tuna and oysters for the appetizer, Oysters was very small but they were saving in huge platter lol Also the lobster bisque which were good too. Of course, the star of the meal, were the steaks. My husband had a rare dry aged New York strip that was Cooked a perfect medium rare and the texture was great. I had Seared scallops for dinner which was incredibly tender with a great sear My lovely Daughter’s had deliciously Wisconsin Mac & cheese Oh my goodness! We also got dessert Cheesecake with cherries on top, chocolate bomb with vanilla ice cream which was fantastic! I have been here at Johnny Delmonico's Steakhouse before maybe about 7 years ago?.. back then the food was ok the services was fine but Now! I’m so impressed with the food ,they’ve been a lot of positive improvement I’m sure, we will come back again.
The service was ok, server provided recommendations and was generally attentive. Quality of food was lacking and does not reflect the high price tag. Highlight of the evening was the lobster bisque and free bread and butter they served prior to the main course. The plating/visual of the the steaks was unappealing, with the steak plopped onto a plate piled with the enhancement of mushrooms. The gnocchi and asparagus had a pool of oil covering the plates, making the oil the primary flavor to come through. The gnocchi was especially disappointing as it was dense and generally flavorless. The cherry on top was when we received our check. When our server heard it was our anniversary, he had brought out some flutes of champagne which I assumed was complimentary since no one asked him for it. Turns out it was not free, it was at a discounted cost. It wasn’t costly, however, charging us for something that we didn’t order or ask for was distasteful, and I wouldn’t have accepted it had I known bc my partner doesn’t drink. The food was already mid, but this made the experience even worse.
Johnny's was our first stop before a show at the Overture Center. Our server was very personable and we chatted about visiting Johnny's about 20 years ago for the first time. We started with the blue crab salad and French onion soup, which were wonderful. They made the effort to split these for us. I got the ribeye steak, which was prepared just right. The cheesy, shredded Brussel sprouts are an adventure in indulgence! Just a couple of drawbacks: my hashbrowns were a bit overdone and we never got bread at all. I hope to be able to give 5 stars next time!
While our server was lovely, I did not think my meal was worth the hefty price. The ribeye was small and nothing special flavor wise and the hash browns just okay. I was pleased at the chocolate torte that was included with my meal for it being my birthday. High class ambiance, friendly staff, but food not worth the price.
Amazing evening had by all, totally fell in love with this place! Amazing staff and Chef's So blessed to be able to personally thank the entire kitchen staff, wow. Than you Jonathan for making that happen, so honored...truly!!!
Food and service were good. Flirting with the bartender was fun. A bit pricey but your paying for the service and atmosphere.
I took my college son there and we had an awesome meal. Had the mountain of calamari as an appetizer followed by a couple steaks. I had the aged bone in rib-eye. At home I have a pellet smoker and I hardly ever find a restaurant steak that can compete with what comes out of my smoker. But this steak blew it away. Honestly one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. Service was excellent too. Would definitely recommend.
Our dishes were cooked to perfection. Presentation was elegant. Our waiter was on point. I would definitely feel good about going back.
