The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Got the fish and shrimp plate with fries and coleslaw, and added the snowcrab. It was very good. $20 for half a crab is expensive, but if you have the money and can afford it I recommend it. I enjoyed everything and almost cleared my plate. If you have left overs, pop them in the air fryer to enjoy again later!
Far more expensive than it should be for what it is. Tarter sauce was great, garlic red potato mash tasty and service was decent, waitress really nice but the food wasn't anywhere as good as the reviews. Only two tiny chunks of lobster in the lobster sliders, mostly onions. Fish is too much batter, not much fish and far too salty. Flavors are pretty bland and the cilantro coleslaw was mostly sauce.
We had the most amazing dinner tonight, our server Catherine, was amazing. She was popular with all the regulars. Our halibut was perfect, glad we followed all the great reviews. They were super busy and didn't skip a beat. Everyone was happy to wait for this amazing food. If you haven't tried this jem in PG, you're missing out!
Calamari was really under par. They were squid rings and not proper small crunchy calamari that a seafood restaurant should be offering. It’s also incredibly expensive for the portions you receive. Not super impressed.
It was dead inside. Was told to sit wherever. The waitress took our order. When our appies arrived, they were dropped off.. No napkins or silverware. Finally our waitress came with the main order. I still had to ask for napkins and silverware. Honestly she seemed annoyed and she never refilled waters or refills. The only saving grace was that the food was good.
It's not very often that I stop in here but when I do I always remember how amazing it is. I love the fish and chips here. I always look forward to my next visit at Joey's only!
We paid a total of $71 to get fish and chips, and 5 sides. The fish and chips were not half the quality you can get at White Spot, the $9.50 salad was one small scoop of lettuce, 5 croutons and the tiniest pinch of cheese possible. The sweet potato fries only included 15 fries, wouldn’t even be enough to impress my 10lb dog. The garlic bread was burnt and tasted burnt in every bite. The fries the few we were given and the deep fried pickles they gave us a couple extra because they ran out of spring rolls were as good as you’d expect after receiving them cold, 20 minutes later than expected. Overall, an embarassing experience for us as well as it should be for you. If you want to stay in business, remember to feed your customers and give them what they pay for.
Nothing wrong with this restaurant particularly but the chain has really gone downhill. The tiny menu choices compared to what it used to be is awful..Food: 5/5
First and last time we will spend money here. The fish was super thin and dry. The prawn scampi was tasteless. I was so excited to have tartar sauce but it was disappointing in flavour . Saving graces are fries were good but basic and the crispy chicken sandwich was great which was surprising as this is a non ocean thing. Service was meh ,she was inattentive, super quiet , and seemed sad? Kid-friendliness: Had to ask for a kids menu......
Trace amounts of fish. Luke warm chips. Tartar sauce in packets. Lame attempt at fish and chips. Will not be back.
