No name toilet paper 24 pack last week was 6.49. This week 14.29. They even marked it prepared in Canada. So because we want Canadian you decided to double the price? Shameful. I switched from Fresco to No Frills, but guess I will go back with these kinda price increases.
No Frills’ marketing strategy revolves around convincing customers that they offer the best and cheapest deals. However, this is misleading and can be considered false advertising.nnThe other day, I was shopping at No Frills and needed to buy olive oil. Their selection was limited, and the only available bottle was priced at $19.99 before tax. After tax, it came to just over $23.nnLater that same day, I realized I had forgotten an item on my list. Since I was near Walmart, I decided to stop there to pick it up. Out of curiosity, I checked their oil aisle and was surprised to see a wide range of options, from budget-friendly to high-end brands—all priced under $20, including the extra virgin olive oil I usually buy.nnThis experience made me realize that No Frills' strategy is to make customers believe they’re getting the best deals. While this may be true for a few select items, they make up for it by overpricing others. Since customers are already in the store, they are more likely to purchase everything there, assuming they are still saving money. However, in reality, shopping at Walmart for the same products can cost the same or even less. I used to think Walmart’s prices were much higher, but after this experience, I see that’s not necessarily true.
I went to No Frills on Wellington St. on Sunday, big mistake! Every checkout was full with at least 6-8 people in the line up. They don’t allow you to use self checkout if you can’t carry your order into the area, no carts allowed. I’m on a cane & found it very hard to stand for 15 minutes in a line when I could have been done in 5 minutes in self checkout. On the whole I like this store, it’s just the issue with self checkout.
I feel like this location is run particularly well.nWell stocked, with a strong work force.nAlways busy, but flows well.nThe parking lot can be tricky, but they work with what they have.
As NoFrills go this is a nice location. Plenty of parking but it can be busy. The store inside is laid out like most and they do a good job keeping things as clean as a grocery store can be. The employees are nice and keep the shelves stocked. I would rather do without the self service check outs but that’s the times.
