Great food, reasonable prices, pleasant staff! The bread is not only amazing, thick and delishious, the multiple kinds they have are all home made! Definitely recommend stopping by for some breakfast!!
I wanted a classic Central NY diner and Jocko's/Ritz fulfilled that desire to the n'th factor! Whipped butter; Italian bread; savory bacon; freshly sliced home fries... I'm in a diner induced food coma as I write this. Bucket list item checked
Absolutely love this place! Amazing breakfast. Great staff. Overall, it's a great local diner.
Jocko's offers good ole fashioned cooking and service with a smile. The perfect place to feed the hungry mind of your college kid studying at nearby Oswego University. Also great for parents visiting said child and about to hit the lonely highway for the drive home. Sizable portions kept me feeling satiated for the better part of the day and the endless cup of coffee kept me awake for my drive home. Highly recommended and looking forward to my next visit.
We got in quickly, and our food arrived within 20 minutes or so of getting there. There wasn't any inquiry for if we wanted refills, but I'm fairly certain she was the only waitress on staff so it's nothing too terrible. Food was fantastic!
Sure it's cheap enough and the food tastes OK emphasis on OK, but honestly, unless you're as old as the hills and twice as dusty, you'll get terrible service. Its very clear that the waitress' hate younger people/college students by how they treat you. If I go in with some older friends of mine, we'll get our menu within a minute of walking in the door, but when I went in my fiance, we waited for more than 5 to get our menus and order our drinks. We were one of 3 tables in the restaurant and all the others already had their food, and yet for bacon and eggs, it took almost 25 minutes to get to our table. The only reason I even went here was because Mom and Pops was closed. Seriously, stay away from this place. The service is atrocious, the food is only marginally better than something a freshman would make in their dorm room, and the decor is tacky and outdated. Also, they're cash only, but dont tell you until they bring you the check so you'll have to use their hideously expensive ATM to pay for your mediocre food.
Place was busy, waitress not overly friendly. Food was mediocre. The irish benedict was good but eggs were over cooked. The potatoes under cooked. Pancakes nothing to brag about. Maybe a one off day for us cause read some other reviews seemed like a decent place to eat. Oh and the blueberries were definitely out of a can. Weird as this time of year is ripe for blueberry picking.
Although the food was fine, a brunette waitress with tattoos that was serving us was so rude that it completely ruined our whole appetite and I could not enjoy the food at all. She was sucking her teeth and answered with such a nasty tone whenever we asked her for something, mind you it wasn't even busy. .Her serving completely ruined our whole mood and I probably will never go back there. I was never expecting 5 star serving, but at least have a decent manners to not talk to a person like that. Never again. If you go there do not let her serve you.
Breakfast was ok, we had the new waitress and service was a bit slow, but super nice and apologetic. The Hollandaise sauce was broken and a bit bitter, poached eggs over coaches, hash was out of a can. Not great not terrible
Me and my family go there several times a month. Great food ,prices are amazing for the amount of food you get and the ladies that work there are great!! This diner is #1 in this town, foods not greasy like others and your not running to bathroom soon after you leave lol ....
