Jini Hair Salon

Do not walk in without a reservation!! So first I called to find out the price and the schedule, and she told the hair cut ranged from 20 to 25 dollars but all booked for the day. That was one Friday morning. Second time I called again on Monday to make a reservation for the next day, but she didn't answered. I wasn't informed she was reservations only all these time and just went in Tuesday morning. Well, she told me there was no walk-ins and refused to take me. I was pretty pissed off since she didn't answer the phone first of all and it was a long way to this place by PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION! Then I told her if I could sit and wait for my bus. "Bus?" She said and "oh God, let me see if I can find time to jam you in my schedule." So got the hair cut after all and I am satisfied. She insisted on not taking the tip from me because she said it was a quick cut and wasn't a full service. Though she was hard to get through and/or get to, I still have to salute to her work ethics and professionalism.

Admittedly, when it comes to a cut, I am picky. I have thick and coarse hair that will show every little mistake; here’s an example: My old stylist (Tammy) asked me to volunteer as a model for a skills competition, and she won first place (a free cut being fine, but being around a bunch of ladies checking me out – she didn’t have to convince me too hard). Since her retirement, I've cycled through many stylists, some were good enough but only initially then stayed inconsistent; others were adequate but too boutique (yes, they offered a free pint but $65 and a long drive, it got tiresome); others were way talkative while proceeding to butcher my hair. Then, I found Jini. Mission accomplished. Thank you Jini for all the wonderful cuts and I will see you in about three weeks as usual; and a double thanks for squeezing me in tonight after work. By the way, all the positive reviews are correct, and indeed, she's wonderful and classy individual. Do me a favor: When you call her for an appointment – be patient and nice; while her English isn’t yet perfect, but she’s working hard on improving it.

Was able to call and make apt within 30 min ( note normal, Fri and SAT were booked solid). Cut in 30 min and simple, perfect. Plus show me how to do my hair easily and simply. Great

Jini is so nice and friendly! I've been going to her for about a year and am always pleased with the results! Make sure to bring cash not credit cards!

Jini is a wonderful lady and cuts my hair the way I want everytime.
