2 stars for food and 4 for the lovely service. The waitress was so nice and sweet. If it wasn't for her, I would have sent back the over fried almost burnt fish and chips. The fish and chips looked nothing like the appetizing picture on the menu...don't be fooled. My meal started off with a bowl of creamy mushroom soup...never had it this way. I like my soup hot. This was warm...so a strike there. The creamy came from broken down potatoes...definitely not from dairy products. Then the fish and chips came out...huge portion. But too much frying for both items. As you can see in one of my pics, there was a lot of batter I couldn't eat. The chips were soggy and full of oil. Don't do it you "trying to be healthy" eaters...just...don't...do...it! My 2 cents worth.
This is a cute family diner that puts a lot of care into customer service. The staff are very attentive and they try to get you the best deal for your food. The coctails are phenomenal! The food comes in very large portions, but was not very good. If you are in the area it's not a bad place to check out especially on a hot day because they have AC!
the service was terrible. they did not give me refills on my water and it took like an hour for them to take my order. i ordered chicken chowmein but i did not get noodles, i got bean sprouts. Very Disappointed.
What a scam.... paid $30 for beef fried rice and pepper beef... rice came in a small pot with 1 piece of beef and don't even get me started with the pepper beef : it's 13.99 with 5 pieces of cheap fondue meats that were crushed onto small pieces that taste like it was dipped in soya sauce...
Initial experience at this restaurant was great. Our server was well mannered and we got the correct food and the food was good. However the menu didn't have an English option, not a major issue but would of been easier to not have to pull out Google translater to do it. Our main issue was at the payment side we went through payment normal and we went to tip our server. However we went through the process and it was errored so we went back through it but didn't tip that time However we did try to put through 5$ on the machine initially. However after this. Our server Gave us really bad attitude saying something along the lines of "you don't expect me to clean up your mess for free? There's an 8% tax for servers by the government" which is a lie. We are not abliged to tip. Though We felt forced to tip and I'm sorry but if this server doesn't like her job she can always find another one. Customers don't deserve to be scammed into making tips for ungrateful staff. Wouldn't recommend because of this experience.
I'm looking at their chinese menu dishes A: One Won-Ton soup, 1 egg roll, 1 macaroni and beef, and one fried rice.$14.75? The place that I go to for Chinese food is on St.Hubert, near Jean-Talon. For $ 13.95 Dinner for 1: 2 egg rolls/1/2 a container of fried rice/ 1/2 a container of Chop Suey/ and a container of Dry Garlic Spareribs6-7 pieces. This deli joint is another restaurant like mostly all other restaurants that are nothing but greedy and very expensive. Except for my restaurant on St. Hubert which I go to often because their prices are very reasonable.
Dined in with a few friends. As usual, food was great, but service was even better! If you have a chance, ask to sit at one of Gaétane’s tables. She’s the best waitress ever! Friendly, cheerful and fast on her skates! She has a surprisingly accurate memory! Did we enjoy ourselves, you ask? We got together at 6 pm and left at 10:30!!!
Awesome food! You look at it from the exterior and don't think much but it's pretty quaint inside. Staff was very nice and polite! The food was excellent and all choices were done to perfection.
Big portions, low quality food. The restaurant was almost empty. Which was nice.
Very nice place , good food , a bit pricey but big choices !Food: 4/5
