A tiny park with three benches facing the waters of Burrard Inlet and the North Shore Mountains. There’s very little green space to speak of. And not much shade on a sunny day. This park is more of a place to sit, take a break, and enjoy the view. A stairway on the west side leads down to the water.

This small park offers refreshing views of English Bay and the North Shore Mountains. A large cherry tree frames the views, and flower beds overflow with colour and texture in the spring and summer. A steep stairway leads to the cool, fresh air of the rocky beach below. This park is named for Jean Beaty whose home originally was sited here. In the mid 1990s, Mrs. Beaty decided to sell her home to the Park Board for considerably below market value to allow the Park Board to open up waterfront views and provide park access along Point Grey Road. The development of parks along Point Grey Road has long been a Park Board vision but rising land values had made this goal more difficult to accomplish.
I love these little parks along the water. Easy to stroll and bike from park to park.
Nice place to sit down on the bench and listen to the Ocean and enjoy the views of Stanley park, Downtown and north Vancouver.
Beautiful little park, peaceful little stairway down to the ocean.
Lovely little park, with a hidden staircase to the sea. Would recommend to visit it if you are around!
Small grassy hill with benches overlooking the bay and mountains. Quiet, restful, full of bird song.
To be honest I never knew this park was called Jean Beaty, and I have been using it for several years when visiting my cousin who lives virtually next door. However, it has very nice bench seating to overlook Vancouver Westend, Stanley Park and the Northshore. Great for a rest when walking the dog. The west side of the park there is access to the shoreline by stairs about 60 feet below. The grassed area is nicely kept and it would be a great place for a picnic and a great place to watch the fireworks display in July and August. Since the city has limited the traffic and made it a cycle route it's much quieter. However, I personally don't agree with the changes made to the road, it probably would have been better for it to be one way going west and allowing a bus route also. To much thought given to the weekend cyclists, but one way would also work for them.
Small easily accessible by foot or bike. Very limited vehicle parking nearby, traffic calmed area. Ocean access. Grass knoll with benches.
