JC Sakura

Our favourite out if the two sushi places in town. Large venue, well decorated and kept clean. Staff are always pleasant and friendly, and the food is always delicious. Their delivery is always very good as well, one of our preferred take out as well as eat in restaurants.

Editing this review from 4 stars up to 5. Amazing food and fantastic environment. Friendly staff and quick service. Lunch has been cut short a few times as I'm not sure exactly the closing time. Not an issue just go earlier if lunch is expected.

2 friends and I went for dinner while in town for a meeting. Restaurant was clean and bright, good ambiance, server was extremely helpful, food was fresh, delicious and as soon as we finished one dish another appeared. I would highly recommend it as we all thoroughly enjoyed it!

We have visited JC Sakura many times on our visits to Sault Ste. Marie, Canada and have always left happy & full. This time, while we did leave full, we didn't leave fully satisfied. Our waiter was extremely unprofessional, scatterbrained, rude & downright bad at his job. We waited twenty minutes for our last order of sushi to arrive, finally flagged down our waiter who checked and then he said it was never submitted. Not happy. We paid our ticket & left without giving a tip, which is something we absolutely NEVER do & I'm honestly ashamed to even admit! We will still return here when in the area, as the food is always fresh, yummy & priced so right for all you can eat! We will definitely be requesting a different waiter if we happen upon him again! (Unfortunately I can't remember his name!)

Quality of the food was good for the most part. Wasn’t thrilled with the salmon sashimi and wouldn’t order it again. The rolls were very well made, and tasty. The salad bar up front had an awesome seaweed salad, a personal favourite. Service was very slow and the server apologized repeatedly for it; I’m assuming they were short staffed. Took around 1.5 - 2 hours for dinner. Since I was travelling, I was solo so I didn’t mind but if you were looking for a speedy all you can eat(it’s possible!) then this wouldn’t have worked. Overall it was a decent restaurant. Everything was very clean and the overall food quality was very good (except the sashimi).
