Story

Welcome! I am a hairstyling apprentice at Jazz Hair Studios in Belleville and Trenton, training under the direction of Rick Maybee.

I am thrilled to have this opportunity, and welcome you to join me in my journey to becoming a fully licensed hairstylist.

Jazz Hair Studio opened in Belleville ten years ago, and has had a second location in Trenton for the past four. Dedicated to learning and excellence, it is an honour to join them and share in their vision.

They are also a Green Circle salon - meaning that they are committed to recycling up to 90% of all waste! Hair is collected and sent to women's prisons where it is made into tubes for oil spill containment (crazy, right?!). And chemicals from treatment processes are recycled into renewable energy instead of waste. Pretty cool stuff. Conscientious guys this bunch!

As for me, let me help you get to know me and where I came from a little:

Who I’ve been: daughter, wife, mother, nurse, personal trainer, morning show co-host, traveler, student, rower, runner, dreamer, and friend.

Who I am today: apartment-dwelling, mouse-owning, grateful wife and mom, runner, dreamer and lover of people, starting a second career and excited to live in the moment and learn all I can.

Where I am going: nowhere I hope! Grateful to put down roots and build from here.

Things I would still love to learn? How to ride a motorcycle, play the drums, dance, paint, photography, and karate. Just happy to take life one day at a time!
