The buffet food was hot, fresh, good. One of our people ordered off the menu, the wait for a 1 person combo dinner was far too long for my liking, but the portion size made up for it for him. I'd also like to say that the dinner options far outweigh the lunch ones. Kind curious staff, always a pleasure.Food: 4/5
Since this restaurant changed hands in mid to late 2022, the food is not as good as it was under previous owners. I used to buy takeout all the time, under the previous owners for several years. Under the new Owners/Management, the food is VERY BLAND and TASTELESS as well as more expensive. The vegetables were half raw a few pieces of carrot, 1 piece of broccoli some cabbage-like vegetable. Egg Rolls were definitely not hand made , they obviously came from a box - dried out - tasteless. I will no longer recommend this restaurant and won't be back. Very disappointed. Dinner for one with Chow Mein had no taste and just noodles, no flavour, unless you order the special dishes separately, which might have some flavour. Don't waste your money. I especially do not recommend if you are wanting to enjoy some good Chinese Food for a party or New Years Eve.
Had a wonderful visit and wonderful food. Taste is there automosphere is awesome, also our waitress tonight was very attentive and friendly. I would recommend this for Chinese food lovers everywhere. If you travel through Salmon Arm or stay a bit, it's my opinion that if it's Chinese food you crave this should be your stop for sure.Food: 5/5
Extremely disappointing! Jade’s used to be THE restaurant to eat at for Chinese cuisine in Salmon Arm, a place to celebrate birthdays with great food. Since new ownership, the food is not high quality, nor delicious. The prices are so expensive for the simple dishes offered, made from cheaper ingredients. Service was also not reflective of the old Jade’s. We needed to ask for water and plates piled up before being cleared, plus no fortune cookies were offered when we paid the bill. We sadly will not recommend this place, nor will we return again.

Very little variety, why two broccoli dishes and both side by side on same side of buffet table? Mushrooms are an additive to a vegetable & meat stir-fry dish, NOT a complete main course itself. Only two persons working serving and cleaning tables on a night that wasn't too busy. Dishes shouldn't be accumulating awaiting to be removed, water not served and needed to be asked for. Hopefully, this will help for better future service, used to be a great dinner place with much more delicious varieties.
First time trying since it changed hands. It used to be fresh and very delicious. Now it's the complete opposite. I'm positive they're just scooping from the buffet for every dish. Food is bland, not remotely hot or fresh. Highly disappointed in this.
They always have great fresh options on the buffet. Personally would love to see a salad option I'm a salad gal after a big meal. It's generally the same food each time we go. A larger selection might be neat but I'd assume the quality and freshness would go down . Always friendly, always delicious Food: 4/5
Food was bland. Mostly disappointed in the price of everything. Ordered delivery and it was $8.00 delivery fee and I live a block away. If I’d have known it was 8$ to drive a block I would’ve drove down. I even tipped the guy ten bucks cause it was 80$ for 3 items. Just be warned, don’t make the same mistake I did.
Was pleasantly surprised by the food at Jade Buffet. Fresh, tasty, and plentiful. The service was great, and the restaurant was clean with lots of beautiful plants growing in the windows. Lovely!Food: 5/5
