I stayed at the Sheraton hotel and walked around shopping at the Jackson square mall and noticed this gang of security guards walking around puffing out their chest taking over the whole corridor.nnI'm not from here but it seems like it's an excessive amount of force in one place in the mall instead of securing the entire Mall..they walk as a gang to look more intimidating.nnI feel it would be more use of resources splitting up and secure the entire Mall instead of walking as a gang.nnAfter seeing that the next day I went to Anchor Bar to grab a beer and some wings and six security guards were bullying one 110 lb man when one security guard could have easily handled it.. it's an excessive amount of force and the intimidation factor is kinda ridiculous.nnIt always seems to be led by the little guy with the sleeve tattoos. Napoleonic complex might be the factor.
The Jackson Square is located at the heart of the city of Hamilton downtown, which is a busy place. The place has many retail stores, Landmark Cinema, TD Coleseum, restaurants, grocery stores, offices, and so forth. The Farmers market is just right beside on the other side of road. You can park closely nearby public parking zone outside or underground in the building. I would definitely recommend this place.
A bit rundown and security could do a better job in regards to public safety. Along with that many units have sat empty for a few years.nnIf you want to just to to the mall,limeridge is better.
Jackson Square is a staple in the Downtown area.nThis mall has a theater with the best seats in the city.nnSadly many shops and stores have closed.nWe have lost the Eaton Centre.nnPlans to tare down the mall are up in the air.nnSadly I expect to see this location change greatly in the upcoming years.
Had a nice walk around and enjoyed the area,
