Jackson Middle School in Champlin, Minn. serves approximately 2000 students in grade six through grade eight in the Anoka-Hennepin School District.
Jackson students learn through a variety of inquiry activities and in depth integration between content areas. The Jackson staff is committed to advancing student achievement through inquiry-based learning, an integrated science curriculum emphasis and a technology-rich environment.
The JMS inquiry model seeks to have students:
-Achieve high standards in science and math
-Learn and experience inquiry process in all classes
-Analyze and interpret data
-Draw and communicate conclusions while demonstrating their results.
Students experience a wide range of science, technology, engineering and math opportunities by combining traditional core curriculum with STEM content connections, culminating with integrated capstone projects for each grade.
