Beautiful views... super clean... great store onsite... Amazing lake... and the staff are very friendly. Can't give it 5 stars only because our 5rh wheel is 50 amp and our site which was lakeside, was only 15 amps. But having said that; it's well worth the visit...
Stayed the weekend, 2 nights 3 days. Great spot for a family get a way. We asked to be next to the bathroom/beach, as we were staying in tents, and they were only too happy to accommodate. The staff were extra friendly and the on site store has a little bit of everything at very reasonable prices. It is nice to see they offer this to their campers without overpricing everything The store is cash only tho so keep that in mind. As it's "Stay Home Year" due to Covid 19 the hayrides, boat rentals and themed weekends were canceled but we knew in advance and planned accordingly. Two adults and two female teenagers. They spent most of the time swimming and hanging out Looking forward to coming back when everything is up and operational
We were glad we stayed on a Sunday night. I think it would be a bit of a wild spot on the weekend. Showers were clean and hot. We paid a $20 deposit for the key, which was repaid when we gave back the key. Nice pond to swim, but with sharp stones. Near lots of hiking trails. Staff were sweet. A good pick Sunday to Thursday for a quiet couple like us, but super fun for families anytime I am sure.
Sites are very close together if you're not seasonal. Only 15 amp service and water lines are half buried. Not very well taken care of as a park in whole. Day use is great for the pond but overnight camping not recommended.
Great spot for families, lots are a bit close. The food at the store is good and the kids loved the playground and spaces for sports and outdoor play. Laundry and shower facilities.
Not big rig friendly at all. Interior roads are narrow and rough with low hanging trees and small bridge that has no weight limit signage. No turnaround areas. Dump station accessible from one direction only. Office staff are not aware of big rig requirements low trees, small bridge, no turnaround, narrow roads. Online reservations only, which are not user friendly. Owner inflexible with date changes. Mostly seasonal trailers that are never moved. Only 20 amp. Beautiful lake.
I highly, highly recommend holding all social event parties at Jack's pond. There are some wonderful but short trails great for the speecial needs and introverts.
Wow. It's an amazing park. So much to do there, whether it's the summer or fall!
Newfoundland Labrador 2019 traveller's guide said they accepted MC, Visa, e-transfer. They accept cash only. It also said they had internet/WiFi. No wifi. Did laundry, after two cycles for dryer, clothes was still not dry. Nice sites around a big pond but for a 1 night stop I needed services not a nice view.
It's pretty crowded and if you are the type of person to look down your nose at people/things its not the place for you. If you are a bit chilled then there is nothing wrong with it.
