We were surprised that it was so quiet when we went for lunch a few weeks ago and it immediately made us feel a bit nervous- like we had stepped into a place we weren’t supposed to. But that was soon changed with the exceptionally warm and friendly service as well as the quality/portion/value of the food. It goes well beyond one’s expectations as far as golf club restaurants go and I would have no qualms about visiting this place again. Great quesadillas and crispy fresh calamari. The steak sandwich kicked butt too.
We always enjoy coming up to Bear Mountain. Came here with our kids the other night and had a great meal. Everyone was happy. The staff were great, food tasty and a great atmosphere!
This should have been a five star rating. My pizza was simply amazing. The flavors were spot on. The crust alone I'll try to come back for. However my wife was not impressed with her chicken wrap. She passed on to me that it was the worst wrap she has ever had anywhere. After her second mouthful I knew she wasn't thrilled. The chicken was very dry. The wrap had too much lettuce. There was no flavors. The tortilla wrap itself just crumbled all over due to it being extremely dry too. She left most of it and concentrated on her fries. The manager is very friendly and professional. The service was also very good. Place is very clean too. Now I have to convince my wife to give it another try so I can have some amazing pizza again.
The price is on the higher end but food is great and portions are huge. Check the drinks menu as this place has huge variety of great cocktails. If you have a chance to sit by the bar you will be amazed with the bartenders work.
An amazing spot on an amazing piece of land at the top of bear mountain resort. I highly suggest this place in the summer. The patio is massive and beautiful views of the mountains surround you. The service is pretty good nothing to write home about, but never a let down. The food however is usually incredible. Go try it out.
I came here last week with a friend of mine and the food was great, but our server was even greater! Jazz was our server and she was so nice and friendly. She took time to make sure we had everything we needed and took some time to have a nice little chat with us. She's a great server! Definitely going to come back and ask for her :
We did a lunch and a dinner here and both times enjoyed it. They have 3 fantastic patio areas, 2 inside dinning areas and an upstairs lounge. The variety of spaces is pressie from casual family dining to sports bar to intimate outdoor dining. The pizzas and pasta dishes are fantastic.
Three of us went for late dinner on Saturday night. The service was slow compared to the number of patrons there. However, our appetizers came out quick and were delicious. Unfortunately, only two out of three entrees were very good. The disappointing entree was a Mexican Tortilla salad with tofu. The tofu was cold and boring. The amount of quinoa and roasted corn was dismal and buried under the greens, along with the feta. Generally, the portions were generous and the hot foods were tasty.
Would not return, even though had a couple previous good experiences summer patio. Went on Saturday, 4-5 pm no happy hour offered so not a good start, and had poor service many staff available but they rarely paid attention to customers even though it wasn’t busy, there were plenty of servers but they chose to stand in front of the fireplace and keep warm instead, a dirty floor by our table that no staff seemed to care about and walked around piece of celery and nacho chip perhaps; we had one appy which was “meh”; my drink was served in a chipped glass bartender and/or server should have noticed and if this were my place I would have not charged for the drink or offered some kind of compensation; had a hard time getting the attention of anyone to ask for the bill, didn’t get it but a server later came with the machine to pay, and we had no bill to look at. Overpriced and poor value. Appears to be lack of training and/or management issues. Later went to the Westin restaurant for dinner and a drink and it was professional service, excellent atmosphere, they had a happy hour, and the prices were better for great food-recommend going here instead.
This place used to be great, not now. Stopped by for a drink and a snack around 4 pm. First- no happy hour anymore and a limited and expensive menu for what you get. Worse, about 10 people working there, most doing nothing. Slow service and dirty, there was a huge hunk of lettuce or celery and a piece of cheese on the floor beside us and no one picked it up, in fact they seemed to go out of their way to ignore it. A few other things, my wife’s drink glass had a big chip in it- of course, when I asked for the bill it never came, she just showed up with the Interac machine eventually. Annoyingly it defaults to an 18 percent gratuity which would be fine had things been even ok. Won’t be back, if you are at bear mountain go to the westin fir dinner, great service and weirdly less expensive.
