Excellent attorney and staff. Always felt like he was in our corner, not only through what he said, but through his actions as well.

My wife and I have had the good fortune of working with Joe on several real estate transactions and have always been pleased with his work. Real estate law is sometimes a thorny, treacherous road to travel and Joe has proven to be a qualified navigator with the necessary experience, connections and energy to get the job done. My last sale was so complicated and frustrating it pushed me over the edge and I felt compelled to leave a review. Joe answered emails as early as 6:30am and as late as 10pm. Joe brainstormed a way to get around a hurdle which looked like it might sink my deal and personally saw to it that necessary signatures be gathered off site at the eleventh hour before my very time sensitive closing. What a guy. Earns my recommendation for sure.

We worked with J. Morrissey on the closing for our house. It took them a month to put together a contract. We were asked to provide the same documents several times and were sent the same documents for review over and over again. Sometimes they would not call us back or respond until a follow-up email. They did not provide a single piece of advice throughout the process (except not to enroll in auto-pay for mortgage payments, wow). Towards the closing date, we received 3 different statements of closing, each with a different amount, and each different from what we received on closing date. Each time we were told to get a certified bank check for the new amount they would come up with - that was all 3, 2, and 1 day prior to closing respectively. And again, they did not get it right until closing date which is against all rules. After closing they told us our deed would arrive arrive in the mail in 4-6 weeks. It has been almost 3 months and we haven't received. J. Morrissey's assistant claimed they would follow up with the county but when I called the county office, they said the deed was mailed back to the title company 2 weeks after closing and is probably sitting there to date. So much for service from J. Morrissey. A very disorganized, slow (and that means lost money in mortgage process), and overpriced office. Look somewhere else.
