Isshin Sushi Bar & Asian Dining

I went here with a group of friends based on the good rating from others online. Sadly we didn’t have the same experience as so many others have had. Service was very slow and I can count on one hand how many times we actually spoke to anyone who worked there. After dining here I took my extra sushi home and when I opened it up to eat I found a spider crawling in the rolls. Despite the fact that the rolls were tasty I cannot get over the fact that there was a live spider in them. Proceed with caution.

I've been to this Isshin many times and the food has always been tasty and consistent in quality. For restaurant eating in Penticton that isn't fast food it also provides incredibly good value for your money. I will say that the service here can be erratic, and what you get really depends on how busy it is. It can be anywhere from O.K. to very poor. That being said, if prompt and thorough isn't super important to you and you like Japanese food, then this place is certainly worth trying.

We were treated like royalty here at lunch today. The food was super high quality with great presentation and VERY good prices. Wait staff so kind. Take a chance here. You won't be disappointed. The spicy calamari is ridiculously good. Thanks!

Horribly slow service. Ok food, average price, but it took them over 5 minutes to even acknowledge us when we walked in the door. We had to seat ourselves, hardly heard a word from our waitress, and then she never said another word to us aside from bringing our meals which took a very long time to arrive. It was a Monday night but busy. They're very understaffed. Try elsewhere unless you're not hungry and have all night to wait
