Island Lake Lodge

What an amazing trip. I have booked trips to Island Lake for others for almost 13 years, but was only now able to visit for myself. Food: Phenomenal, beautiful and so damn yummy. Normally I don't take photos of my meals, but my wife and I could not resist. Hiking: We hiked Spine Back, it was a tough hike up, but what a unique reqward at the top. Lodge: We stayed in the Tamarack Lodge, room with a view. Everything was very comfortable and the patio got a ton of use. They even helped us find a cribbage board. Overall: Island Lake matched it's reputstion, 5 star. I strongly suggest a weekend getaway here.

Island Lake Lodge has such an incredible view! The restaurant has very good food and is very welcoming; good for families and older couples. Definitely a great place to hangout for the day.

My other half and I love to visit the lodge for hiking, lakeside picnics, and enjoying the scenery. Hiking trails are expertly maintained, clearly marked, and range in difficulty. Would recommend the stay for anyone wanting to escape into the outdoors and enjoy some wonderful trails.

We came here to try the old growth hiking trail which was a great hike with plenty of opportunities to marvel at the large ancient trees. Unfortunately we were unable to experience the lodge itself as it was reserved for a private function, however we appreciated the employee who gave us each bottles of water for the return trip back to the trailhead. Plenty of other hiking opportunities in this valley that I hope to do one day soon.
