I am a first time buyer never had island city bakery’s bread before. I will say the loaf I bought olive sourdough is quite good taste wise! Makes for a nice sandwich loaf. However I nearly just broke my tooth on what I assume is an olive pit. Slight suggestion to do a bit more QAQC’ing on your loaves before sending them out or just be careful how and where you put your pitted olives. Ps this continued through half the loaf recommend checking each slice before eating.

The best sourdough in the market I am literally obsessed! I always need a stock of it in my house I typically get my hands on the bronze age sourdough at my local whole foods It is good on its own and when its toasted it is incredible. Bronze age sometimes always sells out quick during the week cause it is that good!! I cant get enough of it and I will not replace it with any other breads out there.

I recently bought a bag of whole grain sourdough from island city baking. However I nearly broke my teeth when I chew the sourdough slice. There was a tiny foreign object in it and it was rock hard!!!!!!! Very disappointing. They need to take food safety seriously!!!

Never thought I'd be reviewing bread online, but I had to. This is delicious, and I love the ingredients and nutritional info. Even carbohydrates aren't crazy. I purchased at Safeway for a very reasonable price. I usually bake my own sourdough, but it's just such a process and honestly why bother when an option like this exists? The cranberry walnut is my favorite. I hope they get into more stores. The only negative feedback I have is actually for Safeway - not sure if Island City can ask for better placement in stores, but at the Safeway I go to, this bread lives on its own shelving unit away from the typical bagged bread, but also away from the fresh baked/Terra breads; so I already had something in my cart when I stumbled on the Island City loaves, which were oddly near the cheese and the fish. Unexpected! But sounded so good that I promptly walked halfway across the store and put back my Terra loaf.

Best Wholewheat from Costco..excellent price. Yummy Raisin Bread from Donald's on E. Hastings.

The sourdough sandwich loaf is spectacular. Really good sourdough flavour.

Best sliced bread multigrain homestyle in town. Bought it at my local Whole Foods for a reasonable price of 3.99. Great flavour and chew. Toasts up really nicely. Never thought I really cared about sandwich bread but here I am writing this review. I refuse to get any other brand now.

I loooove Island City Bakery’s multigrain sourdough! Also love that you can get packs of 2 at Costco, it’s so tasty!

Horrible. If there was an option for a zero rating. Worst managed business ever! Don't buy anything from them.
