Excellent service and knowledge of cider. The fruit wines were not our favorites but the ciderita and kuja cider was amazing! Facility was clean and spacious. Lots of lighting next to the vineyard. They offer tapas and a variety of finger foods. Would recommend!
Such an amazing place....if you want QUALITY cider and learn a lot about it, this is the place. The building is amazing filled with spectacular local art work. The staff are phenomenal and passionate. This is a must on the hit list!
I just want to start by saying back in May 2022, Ironwood received 5 stars and my friend left a review stating just that. We could not wait to come back. The food was phenomenal, service was great! Flash forward a couple months to Saturday July 23rd. We were greeted at the front door by the host who sat us, letting us know our server would be over momentarily. This was not the case, but we sat there patiently. Eventually our server came over. During our previous visit we were able to order customizable flights. Our server informed us this was no longer offered. We have never been to a cidery/brewery where customizable flights are not an option. We were disappointed by this. We non stop RAVED about the food. So we were excited to see what was new on the menu. I ordered the shrimp and chorizo Mac and cheese goat cheese on top. When our food arrived one order was completely wrong and had to be remade. Not to mention it came out in plastic take away containers. We were dining inside in the restaurant not on the patio which I would understand if that was the case. We were also NOT on a wine tour, we were just stopping in for lunch. In May, our food came out on nice plates in cast iron pans ect, presentation was beautiful. I took one bite of my Mac and cheese and had to spit it out, it tasted like a barn smells. Originally I thought the shrimp was bad. I asked what type of cheese they used because it certainly was not goat cheese. The server came back and let me know it was a mixture of cheeses, and goat cheese was not one of them. I would have appreciated the server telling me ahead of time that it was a different type of cheese and asking if that was OK. what if somebody had a food allergy etc The server offered to take my food off my bill thank you but there was no apology nor was I asked if I wanted anything else, the food was simply taken away. We then sat at our table for quite a while with empty glasses wanting to order another drink however, no one came back. We had to get up and go to the bar and inquire if our server was coming back. We decided this was enough, payed our bill and left. This experience left a sour taste in my mouth regarding ironwood. The ciders are great and I truly enjoyed my experience the first time. I hope going forward some changes are made to the quality in which customers are served. I am hopeful that ironwood could be a place I visit often.
Ironwood is under new management - they still have some fruit wine but now focus on cider. Ones we tried were dry and refreshing. Laid back atmosphere with lots of outdoor seating. The tapas was all good. Most other vineyards only have charcuterie or snacks, so good spot if you’re looking for something more substantial along the route.
The tapas were amazing, and Andrea, our host for the tasting experience, was so friendly and fun. We will definitely visit again!
We loved our time at the Ironwood Cider House. A nice change of pace from the wineries in the area, though plenty of wine options are available. We enjoyed the blended flight and the Korean BBQ ribs and chicken tacos. They are tapas and the small sharable portions were just the right size snack for us. We were there during summer vacation and it did get busy.
I hosted a bridal shower at the Ironwood Cider house last month for my daughter. The venue was so beautiful with the floor to ceiling glass windows in the background and the whole design "cool vibe" of the place was my style. The staff was very helpful and accommodating to my needs. The Hospitality Manager, Devon was wonderful and very easy to get hold of via email, especially with the weeks leading up to the event. She was very accommodating to any request as well. Hats off to the chief as I couldn't be happier with the food selection. The guests were raving about how delicious everything was. EVERYONE loved the food. The staff was very friendly and efficient with clean up as well. Thank you to the entire staff as you made my job so easy as the host. I will definitely use this venue again.
This is my first time to taste fruit wine. It’s great! I am not a white wine person, but this is perfect for me! I bought a Poire Sec which is super Dry!
I had a terrific time at ironwood and May and was excited to bring my friend. The cider did not disappoint. The food was very overpriced, not worth the money. We ordered 4 items and they all disappointed for example the grilled cheese turned out to be warm bread with jam, no cheese in sight. They seem to be working on some kinks in their service and what I was able to do in May no longer applied. For instance I joined the club being told I would get an extra taste in my flight every time, now it is just the first time? The growlers are no longer returnable, now you have the option to re-fill only. I was disappointed not to be able to make up my own flight and had to order from their set flights. however the server was nice and the cider is great. I will be back for cider again but will skip the food.
Great selection of their fruit wines and ciders to go with a little charcuterie board to share. This indoor space that they've developed is great for winter tasting sessions.
