I've been coming to this library since I was a kid and even now, I always have the same great feeling that I had as a kid coming here. Ms. Lori W. is the supervisor here and she is just great. She is always very helpful and informative. Another worker named Akil was very nice as well. We had a great conversation. The 3rd floor is now a private floor only for people that need passports, so there is no more access to the 3rd floor. And for now until further notice, the private rooms are closed due to COVID-19. But other than that, this library is great. Such a nice atmosphere and there is a huge selection of books to choose from. They even have donation books that you can purchase on your way coming in or out that cost no more than $1.00! So please come visit and support this awesome library with such an awesome staff. They really deserve more support from the cities outside of Inglewood. Along with my comment, I left a selection of books that I have caught my eye that are available to check out. Thanks for reading my really long review!
Love this place! Great place to study! Great place just to relax and read! Love it! There's no replacing our public libraries! Great wealth of free information that you would otherwise pay for. My dad use to bring me here when I was a kid too. This place is so needed in our community. Please people take your kids. A good place to come and relax too. Grab a book and journey away.
Spacious with very few people all day -- at least thats what it looks like given its sparsely-furnished expanse. Librarians are attentive and helpful though the collections, like most libraries nowadays, are antiquated and unremarkable. Still it provides you what you seek in a library.
It is a very quiet place but the parking lot is too small, and the rates are a bit high. Other libraries have free parking. I don't understand.
People here are super nice I came in recently to turn in a laptop that I had borrowed and I didn’t follow the contract income early the way it says to come and they still took me even though they were already closing it is definitely not something I would recommend doing because it’s really rude But they were so gracious about it and I’m truly appreciative of such a wonderful service
This is a great place for families with young children! We bring our child here and they have a wonderful children’s section with lots of books in English and Spanish. They even have read-alouds and free craft kids every month or so for kids. To those commenting on the meters - I have never paid for parking once. I’ve seen the meters there I just didn’t know that you actually had to pay. Never ticketed either, so do with that info what you will. I think I remember seeing a sign saying parking for the library was free after 4pm. They recently got rid of fines, but be advised that if you don’t renew or return on time they will charge you for the book and once they do you have to pay it. If it is over $25 they send you to collections after 45ish days or something like that. I made this mistake and got hit with an $18 charge, but luckily I can afford that so it was just an expensive lesson for me. But be warned, I know that can be what sends some people over the edge!!
I went to this place to get my son US passport. I just want to say: I met some wonderful people, starting from the Security guard and the lady at front desk, but especially, the gentleman that help my son with the process, he was no doubt about, one of the most beautiful person I have met in a long time. We need more people like them on these difficult days. Amazing people at this place
The solar eclipse event they had going on was a total mess. Elderly women and children being pushed out of the way by adults. It was unorganized. A lady held up a hand full of solar glasses at the front of the auditorium when every one just rushed the stage. That's very dangerous. People who waited for hours pushed out of the way by people just showing up. Glasses ripped in half out of my hand. The police had to be called by the staff. Not something children should have to see at the library.
Childhood library in my childhood city. I still shoot through once in a while when I come by Inglewood , smooth heavenly vibes here. Love it
Nice place to study and I always find a good book to read
