The food was excellent! The service even better! We sat on the patio and we were so well served! We slowly enjoyed a bottle of wine over dinner and we felt zero pressure to leave even though we lingered and chatted the night away. The butter chicken, mattar paneer and Gobi was the perfect choice for our table of two. We opted for plain naan and rice to round out the dinner. The bowls of food seemed small when served but there was no way we could finish them! Flavour was perfect on all dishes and they tasted heavenly! I will be back!!
My family and I came in for dinner and had a really nice time. We’ve been here several times over the past few years and have always had a good experience, but this time was stand-out. We ordered the By The Lake Veggie Platter as an appetizer not shown in the photo, then Butter Chicken, Baingan Patiala, and By The Lake Special Paneer Lababdar. Between four people, there was enough food with some left to take home in a container. Everything was amazing - the Baingan Patiala was particularly outstanding. It’s a dish that is difficult to find elsewhere. Above all, the service was fantastic. The man serving us was really kind, gave good suggestions, and answered all of our questions about the dishes. The prices are reasonable and the menu has a wide, diverse range of options. We feel really lucky to have such a homey, outstanding Indian restaurant nearby. Highly recommend!
Amazing authentic dinner, Chicken Korma fabulous naan, mango salad , chicken skewer all highly recommended . Super friendly owner and welcoming staff - great service . Highly recommended - We will definitely be back
Loved the setting in this place. A big mirror on the wall enhances the feel of wide space. Great location as the name speaks by the lake. Great customer service and delicious food. Definitely worth going again and again. Last visit it happened to have a street festival right by the door or this restaurant. The live and cheerful atmosphere made our afternoon. Great people!
Great spot. Fresh dishes and Naan was unreal. Staff was friendly and helped differentiate a few dishes Highly recommend for anyone wanting authentic Indian.
Went with a friend to celebrate our birthdays. He had tandoori chicken and beer..I had the dinner platter a cocktail and a beer..More food than we could eat and beautifully presented. Very good service tooFood: 5/5
We were so excited to try this place out. We entered sat down got menus then waited and waited and waited a long while before we decided that no one was interested in serving us so we left. We were the ONLY ones inside. This was on the evening when the debit system was down everywhere rogers. Ended up at Shore grill which we have been many times before and they didn't disappoint! Such a shame as we like to support a variety of places in our area. This should be a zero rating since they provided no service We will stick to Tandoori Flame, Bombay to go
I ordered takeout and specifically asked for it to be extra mild. It was the total opposite - it was truly the spiciest food I ever tasted. This has happened at almost every Indian restaurant I’ve ordered from in recent years so I’m done with Indian cuisine unless I make it myself. It doesn’t need to be spicy to taste good. I just don’t get it.
This is hands down the best Indian cuisine I’ve been to. The food is soo so good. I recommend the chicken tandoori which comes sizzling on a hot plate. The staff is super friendly and greets you with a smile. Clean nice spot as well
