Hello foodies ..today I bring you a food review from a hidden gem of a indian takeout restaurant hidden in the back of an Indian grocery store...this place is mainly take out but they have 4 tables for sit down dining . They are located on the east side of Kenedy rd just south of Sandalwood as I said in a grocery store. I have been here before to puck up some of thier huge fabulous veggie samosas but today I picked up some goat curry as well ..they carry a huge variety of Indian sweets and have a great hot table with both veggie and meat choices . Food 5/5 the samosas here are dilicious and huge in size filled with patatoe and pea filling and other ingredients just really nice and filling because how big they are...two of these and most people would have there hunger satisfied. The curry goat was really spicey very tender and loaded with flavour the perfect curry to go over some nice rice... Service 5/5 I always have had great service at this place no complaints.
Their service is really bad. We got a mango drink from the restaurant there, which was gone bad. when we complained instead of apologizing, lady was like nothing wrong. Today, again, we bought samosas, which was not even properly cooked.
Hi , we bought “ Desi Milk” from your store and the milk got bad almost 10 days before the sticker expiry date on the can. The expiry date was Aug 18th and it got bad on Aug 8th we bought on Aug 5th though. Supplier phone contact details are not on the label either. It’s complete wastage of money Thanks
Fraudulent charges at this place is on the rise. In the past, on few occasions I found that they scanned the same item twice, showed items on receipt that was not purchased, or even punched in codes reflecting much higher price than what was on the label. First few times, I did give them the benefit of doubt that those were honest mistakes. Now that I have started to notice this is happening more and more frequently, I can not simply say these are just honest mistakes. They are deliberately defrauding people. It is difficult to shop somewhere if you have to memorise each price tag on your items and keep your eyes glued to the screen when it is scanned and then take 10 minutes after the purchase to wait and tally all the item so that you can dispute them. Essentially, that is what they are asking people to do to be on their safe side. Another problem is when many times they do not want to give a receipt. In that case it is difficult to dispute the matter after you have already brought things home, items that you though would be there is not there, and few days later you find the charges on your card to be very different than what you remember it should have been. Card company is not going to act on it and you cannot go back to dispute with them without a receipt. This is becoming a very bad practice. These are very much by design, not simple honest mistakes.
India bazar is good but they are not managing things properly. There is no proper handling of expired product. Also display product is different than price mentioned. Owner of India bazaar need to educate there staff to manage product handling
Such a wide variety of grocery as well as Indian stuff like utensils, foldable cot, gardening tools, cleaning tools etc. They do have food take-out counter as well inside the shop. I really like the ambience of this shop with Gurbani always being played inside.
Visited this store for Sonamasoori rice. Found for reasonable price. Has good collection of groceries, vegetables. Almost all body and bath products from India are available here. I have seen the slate pencils also. I have seen another review about takeout restaurant and sweets. So I tried Chicken curry, shahi Paneer, Roti1$ each and some sweets. Chicken curry is delicious, Paneer and roti also good. Sweets also very tasty. I felt quality is good. Though everything is good here I am giving only 3 stars because of the staff who is at cash counter and restaurant cash counter. They don't have smile at their face and whatever I ask they aren't interested to answer. Such a least bothered. Actually I thought of taking more items but I didn't get answers from them so I left with few. Hope the front desk staff get some smile on their face by my next visit.
This review is for the restaurant staff. Food is delicious but they charge you extra for dine in. Plus staff laugh at the customers. The girl who works on Saturdays little fatty and with the long braid thinks she’s is oversmart. One short and fat lady working in the kitchen, she was laughing at my food choice. Stupid staff.
Many options available for fruits vegetables and groceries and any other daily necessities. The restaurant is really good and offers delicious Indian homelike food. The thali is our good to dish- inexpensive and yummy. And we also get wai wai here instant noodles.
Open on holidays usually and very close, has everything you would need grocery wise and has take-out but nothing special just more convenience.
