Independent Grocer Gas Bar

Pump needed resetting after credit card error, waited 5 minutes, attendant oblivious. Price was great. Get what you pay for!

Gas is usually fair priced but they have pump issues from time to time which can get frustrating.

Really disappointing store. I expect more from a company presidents choice allows to share its name and products. All of the shopping carts are in disrepair, half (not all! But lots) of the staff are rude and disrespectful, the shelves are messy and unstocked. This is one of the only grocery stores left in this neighbourhood where you have to use coins to access the shopping carts (which would be more understandable if the parking lots, shopping carts, or store were well taken care of but they were all quite messy). Also as I was walking into the store (to trade 4 Quarters for a loonie to use a shopping cart!) I almost fell twice on unmarked slippery floors. I was wearing runners, nothing fancy, just running shoes. The prices seem, on average, about 30 cents higher per product than other chain stores as well. The ONLY thing I like about this store is the pre-packaged meals in the produce section . These are a fair price and nice variety.

This store never has any of their sale items in stock- we've gone as many as 3 times in a week checking, and still no luck. Today, of 5 sale items we were looking for, only 1 was available. If I could rate this store a 0, I would. This is due to poor management, they know they should be ordering more stock. It's a waste of time visiting this store, they should be charged with false advertising!
