Imperio Portuguese Grill in Montreal is a cozy and authentic restaurant that's a must-visit for anyone seeking traditional Portuguese cuisine. One standout dish is the Portuguese chicken, made with tender, juicy chicken marinated in special spices and grilled to perfection. Served with crispy fries and a fresh salad, it's a flavorful and satisfying meal. The restaurant also offers other exceptional dishes, like succulent grilled octopus and mouthwatering seafood rice. With friendly service and rustic decor, Imperio Portuguese Grill is the perfect spot for a romantic dinner or night out with friends
Best Portuguese food I've had!! We got the assortment of meat for 2 people. The chicken and ribs, had excellent seasoning that made it juicy and flavourful. The location isn't the best, but the food makes it worth taking the trip.
The calamari was amazing some of the best I’ve had, the meat was also really good and well seasoned. Cozy restaurant but I would change the music choice from ratio to some classic Portuguese music for a better atmosphere.
The food was good but not great! After finishing my meal with my girlfriend, I accidentally didn’t pay any tips so the owner bolted at me and told me in a rude and aggressive manner in front of my girlfriend and other clients that I should have left a tip for the waitress and when I tried to explain it was an accident he kept interrupting me. I ended up paying the tip even though I shouldn’t have after what happened I left knowing I will never come back. Hospitality is the first product of a restaurant and instead of being friendly they were aggressive and rude, this is why I give it zero stars and I wouldn’t recommend anyone dealing with those people
The service was excellent, the staff is friendly and competent. The cod croquettes were really good, but the grilled calamari lacked seasoning to my taste, it was bland. The place was quiet and cozy.Food: 4/5
An excellent experience! The restaurant has a great vibe to it. The food is authentic and delicious. There are many choices on the menu from appetizers to seafood to meats and chicken. Mike was an amazing host, who was friendly, professional and knew his stuff. I’m looking forward to returning as soon as I can!
Family run place, kind and generous service - well paced so we could enjoy our company and the fantastic meal without feeling rushed
Amazing food, I took the octopus, and it was well oozed and seasoned. The service was also impeccable.Food: 5/5
For the best exp, you're better off going with friends/family, cuz the wait times can be long... but everything came in order and the plates were big. We weren't able to finish, mind you we also had apps at the beginning.
Their fries, chicken and salad are really delicious. I loved the spices in the fries. The vibe is amazing. It felt like a nice and simple local neighborhood place.Food: 5/5
