Imperial River Company

I have a friend that works here and a few days ago she took me and 5 other of our friends on a small day trip to go rafting down a few of the rapids. We didn't stay over night, but we had an absolute blast!! I've never gone rafting before this so I was a bit nervous, but once we got going down the river it was easy to get comfortable. Aside from rafting, the facility and surrounding property is absolutely amazing!! There's an outside grill, tables, a small coffee shack, and volleyball nets spread out in a huge yard right on the river. There's also a rack full of life jackets for customers to use. Also showers outside the resort for day users. The staff members that I did get a chance to meet were all really awesome! I'm definitely gonna be going back on another day trip before the end of summer.

Management needs to own up to the fact that today they over booked their rafts. Having more than 8 people in a raft. Is 1 no fun for the consumer 2. Is inconsiderate to the river guides who have to keep track of an overloaded raft. 3. Management needs to realize that you shouldn't mix different groups without consent (over promise) under deliver As far as the river guides Go. Matt and Dennis made our expirence. THEY deserve 5 stars and a huge thank you for a job well done. Management did compensate our group by getting another raft for us at the end of the day but by then we only did half the trip we wanted to with our group and it wasn't what we had paid for. Do yourself a favor and make sure you get your group on all the same boats and don't let the over pack them. Have fun.

Comfy, spacious rooms and beds, complete with wall murals. Spacious bathroom/kitchenette. Given the location, I don't mind that there was some noise from a railroad and limited breakfast. Corners in the bathroom had some black growth as did the showerhead, I had to stoop to avoid hitting the showerhead at 5'9", and I guess I found the use of an overhead fluorescent light tube (complete with dead bugs caught inside the rectangular case) to be a little too reminiscent of my college dorm. Given that I spent the following night in the backseat of the car waiting for the 2017 solar eclipse, this room seems absolutely terrific in comparison and these minor issues didn't do more than raise an eyebrow. If Google allowed 4.5 star reviews, I'd give this place that.

Wide selection of spirits and beer. No pool tables, friendly staff. Great menu... delicious food.

Over the years the quality of this restaurant has gone downhill fast. A few years back I went here with my family. I remember being seated by a kind and smiling waitress, that attended to all the needs we had while dining there. We were given a free appetizer of the most delicious brown honey bread. When we ordered our meals, they were what I would say is a full meal and a balanced meal. The steaks were quality cuts and the service was good. Fast forward to now. I went here with my family for a birthday dinner and the experience was totally different. It turns out they removed most of the waitress positions and slimmed down their menu choices. Instead of getting a book-menu to choose from, everything was written in sloppy handwriting on chalk boards. Instead of being greeted by a waitress we walked toward the ordering area- where two employees looked like they really didn't want to be there. All that was odd but we ordered anyways, and I decided to order a steak. When the steak finally came, it was smaller than a child's fist, and mostly consisted of fat. That steak was tougher than you could imagine- not even the steak knife they provided could cut through that steak. The rest of the plate was scattered with french fries, at least they were good... If I had to say something to the tourists looking to eat here, I would say look somewhere else unless you are desperate. Changes have been made to take advantage of you. This restaurant used to be worth the money but they have lowered their quality drastically without lowering their prices.
