Il Fornetto Restaurant

Had my birthday dinner with my mum here and it was a nice experience, initially got a table on the ground floor, but did not like the ambience , a nice waiter was kind enough to get us a space upstairs right beside the fireplace which we loved more and was a great picture spot . The service was great and the food was nice!. My only downside was that it was too noisy , I would have thought that for a Wednesday it would be less crowdy, but this means they are doing a very good job and people like their food . We had jumbo shrimp with a side of pasta, Italian seafood rice , grilled steak and vegetables, a glass of red wine and a glass of juice for my mum. Spent 200+ plus tip. Now my mum is in love with the Italian seafood rice and she is asking when I’d be bringing her again . And yea!!! I got a dessert on the house because it was my Birthday!!!!!! Thanks guys, I really enjoyed my birthday dinner .

Our favorite place in Lachine. Very cozy place because the spot is very nice on the riverside. The food is excellent! We always make reservations on the second floor to enjoy the beautiful view .Highly recommend. Their pizza is the Best!

I visited this place 8 years ago and got a bad experience. Coming back last week for dinner with friends, I found it quite a difference. The ambiance is cozy and the food is excellent. The service is attentive, and our host is a lively person with a touch of humor.

Another great meal at Il Fornetto. Been coming here for years, not only for the food but the ambiance inside and out, with a great view of the Lachine canal. The staff are super friendly and always welcoming.nnShared a large Caesar salad which was perfect for 2 people as a starter. Then enjoyed the Lasagna which is always consistent and tasty, and had the Rucola pizza which was absolutely delicious. All their pizzas are fantastic, you can’t go wrong with any of them, and so many to choose from! In addition also had a Table d’hôte of Braised Short Rib with some spaghetti. The meat was so tender and succulent. This included a mista salad or minestrone soup.nnSadly no room for dessert on this visit, but their tiramisu and crème brûlée are worth the extra indulgence.

We had a lovely dining experience here. They offer a varied and great selection of drinks and food items and they all look so amazing. The pizza is prepared in a fire oven, the choices of pasta look great and the steaks all look wonderful too. I had a great time eating the boar steak in a pepper sauce. For around 45$, it came with a cream vegetable soup and a meat sauce spaghetti which was a pretty filling meal. The soup was creamy and had great flavours, the spaghetti was cooked perfectly, the texture was great and the sauce was also tasty. The boar was my favourite, the meat was not dry at all and it paired so well with the sauce. The contrast between the strong flavours of the boar and the lighter flavours of the spaghetti made the meal really enjoyable. On the other hand, the aspect that took us out of the night the most often were just children screaming and running around. Even though it was somewhat classy as a restaurant, it was still a family type restaurant and a lot of children were dining too. The service was professional but they were not that patient and not that friendly, They were polite for sure, but not easy to talk to.
