I have been going there for the past 11 years and I used to like this small local grocery but its not what it use to be in terms of quality and service. There has been a lot of staff turnover and management started hiring kids without providing adequate customer service training. As a result, some don't even greet you, others chit chat around instead of wrapping your food while others even make comments over stuff we were buying...
The waiting time there is unimaginable like always they make it 20 min for a litre of milk
The Old Lady in the first cashier was so not welcoming. Not even Hi, Bonjour. And she threw the receipt like she was disgusted. I dont know if im not wearing a mask. But doesn’t matter. She was not welcoming at all. So bad.
For the most part it is a nice store. They have small space for groceries and they get a lot in. Product placement is a little unorganized but findable. Shout out to the young man behind the deli counter. He is nice and helpful every time I order something.
I didn't like the pickup experience at this IGA at all.nThe whole point of pickup at this unprecedented times due to the pandemic is to minimize close contact, proximity and to maintain social distancing, which it didn't meet my expectations unfortunately. If I wanted to stand and wait next to or in proximity to the cashiers, other shoppers and/or employees for couple of minutes inorder explain to three different employees who didn't understood a word of English that I am there to pickup my order, instead I could have picked up all the items by myself and paid on the cash same level and risk of exposure. Out of $170 dollar online pickup order only $100 dollar worth of items were available which IGA is not certainly to blame, however if you shop personally it is much easier to choose an available item at will rather than the picker calling you to ask or to make the call themselves. I certainly won't be using the pickup service anymore.
