Ever wonder what it feels like to be surrounded by ice shaped in beautiful forms, a must see!Visited onWeekendWait timeUp to 10 minReservation recommendedNot sure
It’s unique experience visiting ice castle. Amazing work by these guys. Great sculptures made, it’s so fascinating that what could be done out of ice. It’s an artistic work, whole lot of effort goes into building this & maintaining it. It’s fun to visit this place, any & every age group will enjoy visiting this spot. There are icy slides for kids, teens & adults, it’s quite an experience. I would recommend everyone to visit this place once every year in winter if you’re in Edmonton as it’s different every year from inside. Staff working there are so friendly has big smiles on their faces. Team there helped us taking our couple pictures without asking. Last but not least ensure to load up on winter clothing as temp drops it can get really cold inside.
Very unique experience. It’s amazing what can be done with sprayed water and freezing temperatures. The end result is wonderful especially at night when it is lit up. There are snow and ice sculptures, slides, narrow ice passages, a water fountain and a look out point. There is fireworks and live entertainment. A great place to enjoy but remember to dress warm. As it’s like a fridge inside and of course it can just be cold outside when you come. I recommend coming at least once to enjoy but visit each year as the design of it changes each year. This is the only place in Canada that the Ice Castle comes to so if your in Edmonton in the winter and this place is around come visit.
It was a dreamy and magical experience!! Beautiful displays of ice sculptures and lights. I would recommend to go after the sunset as the whole thing is very different and beautiful when it is dark. There are slides for both young and old to enjoy. This was my first time going here. Dressing for the weather is important for enjoying the fullness of the display. Highly recommend taking this unique winter wonderland
Great place to visit and see all the ice sculptures and tunnels. Also has ice slides in ranging steepness and length which is very fun. Go during the day for pictures as night time might be a bit dark but the lights inside the ice are beautiful. I went in the evening before sundown so I got to experience day and night Also try to wear warm socks and footwear as my feet were freezing at the end of the visit.
I have been trying to make it to the Ice Castles for a few years now and this year was the year. LOVED it! I highly suggest you try and make the time or trip 6 hours in our case to see them. It is cold down by the Castles so dress accordingly and wear proper shoes as you are walking on snow and there are some slight hills to walk up. And slides made of ice to go down. Bring a camera. Go just before it gets dark so you can see them in both daylight and the dark as they are lit in different colors. Once you enter you can't leave but you can stay as long as you like.
Great experience, was really cool to see and the slides were fun. It's a bit smaller than expected. Would be nice if they had an actual ice maze, or perhaps a large closed in area with more things to sit on/cubbies but honestly I enjoyed myself overall. Wouldn't go on the weekend again though, the price was a bit much I feel for what you actually got. A weekday price is more suitable. Dress warmly! Especially if going at night. Recommend buying tickets in advance though, they sell out fast!
Stunning display of icicles and sculptures and lights. A wonderful winter wonderland. I find it best to go just before sunset as the whole thing is very different and beautiful in both the day light and when it is dark. There are slides for both young and old to enjoy. We've attended the last three years and every time is has been different. Dressing appropriately for the weather is important for enjoying the fullness of the display and there is typically a fire to warm your hands. Highly recommend taking this unique winter display in.
absolutely beautiful! price is 20$ per person and absolutely worth it, it is absolutely stunning and an amazing experience.
Way better than expected. Definitely recommend going at night time... The lighting effects they use on all the ice is quite captivating. Our favorite part was probably the programmable LED light ice wall. The entire structure was much larger than I thought it would be. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommended for everyone!
