The Pros and Cons of Having Your Car Stolen in BC that I have found from my experiece: Pros: They cover a rental car for you (but not in the first 72 hours PAY UP FAITH) You get to meet great new friends such as my adjuster in Prince George who doesn't know how to do her job - what a great learning opportunity! ICBC has a fantastic system for phoning your adjuster that is in no way complicated or frustating. Emails? Who needs them? You get to learn exciting words such as "deductible" which means that any damage that you have to get fixed does not include the first 300 dollars (PAY UP FAITH) The towing yard adds an artful layer of dirt to your car! Not having a car means that you get to experience the joys of transit in new and exciting ways! You get the pleasure of seeing your hundreds of dollars in insurance come to good use while you wait on a call regarding the insured car that you're not driving at all. The system is really efficient: 3 weeks to get back a totally drivable car is completely reasonable! Not being given an address for car pickup means that you get to play an exciting game of detective work! You can enjoy looking at all the other wrecked cars in the lot while they try to figure out how they got "Gordon with a pickup truck" from your claim number! Your dad gets to be Mr Useful with his swiss army knife when the lot worker realizes that there are no tools in his golf cart #GoDad! The slow moving and squeaky gate at the end of the pickup yard really gives you a sense of new found freedom! Cons: There are literally none, ICBC is a completely fair and efficient corporation that really care$ about u$! 10/10 would get my car stolen again!!!

They take ages to do anything I showed up at 10 30 to apply for a services card and wasn't done until 12 because they prioritize dealing with people checking in for driving tests despite order of arrival.
