Absolutely Dreadful Experience – Avoid This HotelnI just had the absolute worst hotel experience imaginable.nTo begin with, the front desk lady working the shift provided terrible customer service, and the manager showed a complete lack of interest in resolving customer issues. It appears that pricing is inconsistent, as every staff member handles rates based on their own subjective understanding rather than a set policy.nThe room itself was in unacceptable condition. The air conditioning did not function, the television was broken, and the room was poorly stocked with basic supplies.nTo make matters worse, they attempted to charge us $35 for a breakfast we never consumed. They also tacked on several other nonsensical fees that were never properly explained or clarified.nI highly recommend that everyone avoid visiting this hotel. The management at this property needs a serious review. This was an incredibly unpleasant experience. If you are on vacation and looking for a pleasant place to stay, look elsewhere—this is absolutely not the right one.
This hotel would be great if it wasn’t for the 20 minute waits for the elevators, no luggage carts to be found, or the fact that the temperature in each room will never get out of the mid 70’s, even with the thermostat set at 64 lowest it will go for 3 days straight. The location has fantastic access to the metro, Village, Latin Quarter, Library, and truly anything in Montreal with the metro connected under the hotel. The rooms are nice. But you can’t keep a schedule with the ridiculous wait time for an elevator or luggage carts and you won’t get your room comfortably cool. If you don’t mind the warmth and love to wait, the Hyatt Place downtown Montreal might be a good fit for you.
Very nice building and room. Good location.nSmall on-site gym but has ample equipments. Pool is quite small and shallow so not really suitable for adults swimming. The only issue was the sauna was faulty during our stay so I couldn't use it.nAlso, to be a bit nitpicky, the front reception staff were not very friendly and would mainly ignore you. It would be nice to at least smile and acknowledge your customers when they are around.
The staff were absolutely amazing—professional, welcoming, and incredibly accommodating throughout our stay. They truly went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and well taken care of.nnThe only drawback was the elevator situation, which was not ideal at times. However, aside from that minor inconvenience, we genuinely enjoyed our stay and appreciated the overall experience.nnI would certainly consider returning in the future.
The location is great, as it is steps away from the metro.nnThe lack of stars is because there is no parking available through the hotel, despite what is stated online. The parking is public parking through indigo, and it fills up fast. I would not recommend staying here if you are bringing a vehicle.nnThe room itself was spacious, but the beds are firm and the pillows are not comfortable.nnPool is nice. Breakfast is standard.nnOverall an okay stay but would not book here again.
