Excellent location and stay at this hotel. Within walking distance 12-15 min to Old Montreal and Old Port. Lots of restaurants and bars around here. Pool is phenomenal--with an outdoor seating/large patio area that opens up to the pool area. Sadly, no hot tub however. Restaurant looked exquisite and was always busy, but pricey, so we opted for restaurants around the hotel. The rooms are practically soundproof which is also amazing! Shower/bathroom was exceptionally clean. Beds were comfortable Also handy to have the underground/lower level shops and food court beneath the hotel. Parking is $40/day with unlimited come and go privileges and $15/day for so in and out privileges which is what we opted for. Staff and concierge were very friendly and extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the area. The cleaning staff were also very nice and did an excellent job!! Highly recommend this hotel!
Have awful experience with this hotel and their communication style to their guests. During Air Canada strike, we got accommodation voucher. At the check in, we were informed and ensured that the voucher is for 2 nights, after which we checked out. After a few days, i noticed that i got charged for 1 night. As per my query, i was informed that voucher was actually only for 1 night and that the second night must be paid by us. Very unprofessional, no one informed us about this change in initially provided info. if we knew it, we would timely check out on time. They simply charge you for a night without even bothering telling you. Be mindful of that!
Location! Location! Location!nThe hotel is located literally at the pedestrian street in the Place des Arts, right in the heart of down town Montreal. There are various restaurants nearby, from the inexpensive fast food in the food court of the mall which is part of the building complex with the hotel to fancy restaurants. Old Montreal, Old Port, China Town, Metro Stations are all within a short walking distance.nThe room and bath room are very clean and beds are comfy although the hotel is sort of old and shows it's age.nHighly recommended!
This hotel is in a nice, fairly central location. We received tasty cookies as a welcome.nWhile we stayed, there was loud construction going on across from the hotel. When we first entered our room, it seemed as if someone had showered in it after it was cleaned - a bit weird. We informed reception and received new towels, yet the used ones were left in the room We only had one bathrobe in the room, the light on the make-up mirror didn’t work and the coffee machine was also not very cooperative. When we checked out, we weren’t asked how our stay was, yet I mentioned the points above I’m not sure if the staff member wanted to hear my feedback.nAll in all the stay was okay, but below the standard we’d expect from a Hilton hotel.
My stay at the Hilton DoubleTree Montreal was an absolute disaster from start to finish. I’ve experienced poor service before, but nothing comes close to the shocking indifference and incompetence I encountered here.nnThe assistant manager on duty was especially appalling. Instead of offering even the most basic courtesy or problem-solving skills, they were dismissive, unprofessional, and flat-out rude. It was as though the guests were an inconvenience to them, and customer service was beneath them. For someone in a leadership position, their attitude was both embarrassing and insulting.nnEvery issue I raised was met with excuses, and zero accountability. Not once did anyone attempt to take responsibility or make things right. It became painfully clear that this hotel has no standards, no training, and no respect for the people who pay to stay there.nnHilton should be ashamed to have its name attached to this property. If this is the level of service they’re comfortable with, then it says everything you need to know about how little they value their guests. Do yourself a favor: spend your money anywhere else in Montreal. You’ll thank yourself later.
