Very nice hotel. The restaurant is a bit too fancy for my taste, but there are lots of other places nearby. The bar was pretty good; with a good variety of beer styles. The room was nice and clean. The bed was comfortable. It's in a great location; easy to get to attractions and nightlife.
The cleaning staff are on strike so there was no toiletries or room cleaning services for the trip. We called the front desk several times on our way to the hotel over a couple hour period and the phone rang for over 10 minutes until it would finally disconnect. The two times they actually answered, we were put on hold for over 15 minutes, for which no one ever returned and the line eventually disconnected. While in the hotel, we tried calling reception from the room phone and it rang for over 10 minutes until it disconnected. Unbelievable service for the price. Staff on strike, building is surrounded by construction, and parking is not included nor intuitive - and yet it is still full price. Plus, the customer service we did receive was not helpful and we were forced to wait for unacceptable periods. We will not be returning to Double Tree again. Many more options which would have better service for this price. Incredibly disappointing, we will be telling friends and family to avoid this chain.
Double elevators were annoying. Far too busy of a location for my taste. Rooms were nothing special. Shower soap dispenser was empty. Loud kids and people slamming doors all night. Elevator card access caused a lot of frustration when we first arrived. No good parks nearby. Much prefer Le Westin.
Reviewing for a stay a few weeks ago. Just not a good experience. The front desk staff who checked us in was very rude and in general hotel staff were quite cold. There was a noise that recurred every 10 minutes or so at night, and also construction noise in the morning. The amenities are ok but a bit dated and the room size leaning towards the smallish end. The location is good but you can get better value with many other hotels in the area. I will not come back.
My wife and I recently stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton Montreal during a 16-hour layover, and our experience was exceptional. Here’s a detailed review of our stay:nn**Rooms:**nThe rooms at the DoubleTree by Hilton Montreal are very clean and spacious. We found them to be well-maintained and comfortable, providing a relaxing environment after a long flight.nn**Customer Service:**nThe front desk staff were welcoming and offered us complimentary cookies during check-in, which was a nice touch. We requested a late check-out at 1 PM, and they accommodated this request for free. Later, we decided we needed even more time and extended our check-out until 2 PM for a reasonable $50 charge. The flexibility and friendliness of the staff greatly enhanced our stay.nn**Convenience:**nThe hotel's location is incredibly convenient, situated above a mall strip and near a grocery store. This made it easy for us to pick up any essentials and enjoy some shopping without needing to venture far from the hotel.nn**Housekeeping:**nHousekeeping was very friendly and responsive to our needs. When we asked for additional toiletries, they promptly provided them with a smile.nn**Overall Experience:**nOverall, our experience at the DoubleTree by Hilton Montreal was amazing. The combination of clean, spacious rooms, excellent customer service, and convenient location made our short stay very enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others.nnIf you’re looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay in Montreal, the DoubleTree by Hilton is an excellent choice.
