The overall environment of the arena is slightly crowded compared to the venue used for the game. I was kindly reminded by an enthusiastic gentleman who said that every time a race was held here, spectators would stand there blocking the view of the last row of spectators. Luckily, the staff was more than helpful, whether it was reminding the teams to enter or waiting in line for food, he was very patient!nFinally, a very important reminder that the ice surface of the curling venue is very unclean, you can see or feel a lot of sand and dirt on it, it's time for a thorough maintenance of the ice surface my friend!
Jim and the team at Huntley are truly the best! Don't sleep on this curling club for your next corporate, personal or family event! They book up fast though so call early!nnWe are so grateful that we have been able to host our team event here for a second time. The feedback from staff is always positive after our time here and we can't wait to come back!nnLounge, washroom, ice.. the whole club is exceptionally clean and the staff and volunteers are the kindest ones out there.nYou can bring your own food or use their kitchen or caterer at an additional cost. Very spacious and well maintained. If I could I would give this place a 10/10.nnThanks for having us!
I started here with Huntley's Learn To Curl program which I highly recommend. The location is easy to get to, the kitchen and bar area have been re-done within the last year. Overall, a nice to place to curl with their 4 sheets and many Bonspiels, programs and events. There is also tons of parking and is almost attached to the Carp Fairgrounds.
