Enjoyed this place quite a bit, I would go back. Hip atmosphere, friendly and clever staff. Food came nicely presented and was tasty, though we all felt something was missing -can't quite put a finger on it- hence the 4 stars. The Hunter Burger was a bit on the spicy side, but otherwise flavorful, it felt more like a yummy sandwich than a typical burger. All of it was good, but the bun really caught my eye and the beef & pork patty was particularly tasty. I did like the wilted kale. The Pemberton bowl was really good, though I wish it was lighter on the mixed greens. I wish they had a regular non smoked grilled salmon available as an add on.
Busy establishment. Great staff with helpful attitude. Food was excellent. We didn’t order the infamous platter as there were only two of us with a kid. Saw other tables orders and all looked delicious. Our Moroccan Lamb dish was delicious. Smoked salmon didn’t look too smokey but good compliments with their sides. I had a Golden Ale draft - quite fresh. Server also offered a small tasting glass to taste the freshness before ordering.
Great location and food. I love their mug hopefully they will sell them in the future: the food is quickly served, and nice environment. Coffee is self serving. My girlfriend really love their waffle, so we eat three days in a row. Also we add bacons and egg as extra. I will recommend this place. The price is a little bit higher but still reasonable for the quality they delivered.
Delicious large portioned food. Cozy ambiance. Very well priced. Happy hour deals. Sad that we did not discover this place earlier. Will return every time we are in town. There is enough seating for big parties. The menu is very straightforward. The beer during happy hour is $2 off. Food came out quickly and was delicious. The ketchup was phenomenal and made in house. Loved it !
Was looking for a quick bite and came here based on a recommendation. Staff very friendly and helpful. Had the jackfruit burger and lamb burger, both with smashed Pemberton potatoes. Heard a lot about the local potato and was not disappointed. The potato was done perfectly - crispy on the outside and firm texture inside. Jackfruit burger was excellent. You won't know you are eating a vegetable based burger. The lamb burger was a bit disappointing. Did not have time to try a wide assortment of beers. That's my to do next time visiting Whistler.
Come hungry to Hunter Gather. Very generous portions! We tried the Farm Platter for two, we left stuffed with plenty leftover. It’s a place you want to come when you’re famished after hunting and gathering. Open concept with cooks prepping in view. Alex was on top of everything, attentive, generous and kind with the most charming accent to match. Good luck Hunter Gather!
This is a “sleeper” restaurant in that from the outside, it looks like a fairly average place relative to all the other choices in Whistler. Next, I found out that there’s no servers, per say, in that you place your own order at the front - but they do serve you the food. From there, that’s where the average disappears. We had the smoked brisket sandwich, the hunter burger and the spicy fried chicken sandwich and when I say these were impeccable - I mean to say they were out of this world! Truly tasty, fresh, and mouthwatering deliciousness in every, single, bite! I wasn’t expecting those kinds of flavours from looking at the restaurant from the outside - but man did everything else surprise us! Oh, and get the potato salad as a side - best I ever had in my life!! Also, there was an amazing fellow who has blonde hair wish I remembered his name and he was super friendly and he even ran out to catch us when we left as my son forgot his book on the table. 5 stars all the way and will be the place we visit every time we come back!!
Wonderful little spot, great food and huge portions. I got the ribs and smashed potatoes with the Dry Irish Stout. Great combo and super filling! Can't wait for my next visit here!
Yummy, We came here for breakfast, and beat the rush. Very busy on weekends. We ordered the Benny on potato roti and Chicken and waffles. Chicken and waffles was very delicious. Waffle was soft and tasty. Eggs Benny was good. One of my poached eggs was overcooked and hard but the other was runny and yummy. A little pricey but fresh ingredients.
Ordered the Grant’s Family Style Farm Platter with the 2 to share portion for $75 and the salmon chowder. Everything was a bit underseasoned for my taste but good variety and great atmosphere. The miso kale was especially delicious.
