Hummingbird Cafe

What a charming little hole-in-the-wall Cafe! There was a bit of a wait at the start but the waitress was very polite about it and asked if we would mind waiting a little bit. She was the only waitress, so she was busy and it was a little wait. The food was definitely 5 stars, with it coming out promptly, the flavors blending well, and the ingredients obviously fresh. The outside was absolutely gorgeous, and very quaint. The vegan and gluten free options covered a wide variety of foods, making it possible to eat here with allergies. Highly recommend coming!

Lovely, local, latte.nLocated in an old typical Butte mining town brick edifice, this place is fun to navigate, with lots of corners to round and nooks to discover.nMostly for breakfast and lunch, Hummingbird doesn't have any pastries, but the avocado toast was delicious, and one of the great vegan options.nSit at one of the four courtyard tables for al fresco, or find your favorite inside spot.nThe intimate atmosphere from the imperfect and super nice staff tickled me to death.

We came in early on Sunday with a group of 4 for breakfast. We were seated quickly and the server got coffee orders started.nnI had a very good latte: smooth, warm, and at a drinkable temperature when served too many places serve you a scalding hot latte.nnOrdered the French toast and a breakfast sandwich with bacon. They didn't skimp on the bacon, which was very appreciated. They use real maple syrup more golden/delicate than dark and robust and it went well with the fresh berries on top.nnThey have tons of seating, including outdoor seating. I would definitely come back for breakfast or lunch anytime.nnWorth noting that the music choice was also on-point. Whoever was running Spotify was doing something right!

Excellent, high quality food that left us feeling great. My wife had a lavender honey matcha and I had hot Earl Grey tea. Both were excellent as well.nnSuper friendly staff that we're very attentive and welcoming even though we came in a little late and left right at closing. They even came around and gave us a fair warning to put in any food orders before the kitchen closed.nnHighly recommend

Loved this place! I chose it for the name, and how smart was I ? Sanwiches are huge and beautifully presented. Coffee is excellent. Ourdoor patio was so cute! Our server was so friendly I would come back just for her!
