I have gone to this theatre for years. Staff is friendly, always kept clean and the arcade is always a fun time before or after a movie! They have about 5 or 6 different theatres, their main theatre is very big and spacious, chairs on a slant so not a big deal if someone tall is in front of you, usually reserved for the bigger titles of the year. Their smaller screens are still good, chairs are on the flat ground so try not to sit behind someone tall. Food is affordable at good prices. Tickets are cheap, especially on Tuesday's for 7$. Always would recommend!
I love the nostalgic feel of this theatre. Auditoriums are tiny, ads shown before the movie are old school. It's not just a movie, it's an experience. Great customer service. We ended up talking to the staff while we were waiting for the after credits scene. They definitely seem to like their jobs which is nice to see. Will definitely be back when I'm in Toronto again.
The customer service is really awesome, a lot of the sold-out movies are usually available here, they keep the place clean oh, it's got a really cool vintage feel as it's still independently owned and they still do that Tuesday discount that some theaters have stopped doing. They have two large theaters and two baby theaters which are adorable and very intimate and fun to watch movies and also. Love this place, it's like a Hidden Gem
Love this theatre! Lots of history and charm, great staff, good movies, friendly people. We always have a great time at the Humber Cinemas. It's always clean, the popcorn is tasty and prices very reasonable. Convenient location just across from Jane subway station. Support one of the few remaining independent theatres!
Great to see an independent still going strong. Aside from hot dogs, pop, and candy, non of the amenities of the big cinemas. The seating is tight for adults as this is an old theatre. But great to support local, especially if you live in the neighbourhood and don't have to worry about parking.
Great theatre for the community. Limited screens but they always have the in demand movies. Tuesdays are $7 and concession doesn't cost you a week's pay. Chairs are surprisingly wide and comfy but floors are not slanted so make sure not to sit behind someone tall.
I have been there many times over the past 15 years or so. it's a small theatre, but it is a nice place, I recommend it. I prefers a small theater I prefer a small theater with four to five small rooms in it, instead of the huge, noisy, overcrowded, flashy, over commercialized ... they give me a headache and I feel swamped by the noise and the commercials the billboards. If you're going on a date - if you want to have a bit of a conversation before the movie and after, Humber Cinemas is the place. All the best!
I like this theatre because I can walk to it from my place and it is never sold out. They have current first run movies but you never have to worry about not getting in because not very many people go here. This is probably because the theatre is run down, the seats are not super comfortable, two of the four screens are in tiny rooms and ticket prices are the same as modern nicer theaters.
Charming movie theatre. Much smaller than the big chains, friendly staff, better prices. Some of the theatres are pretty tiny, but the main one is a good size. Generally not too busy, which is nice, but I hope they can compete. Feels like a throw back to a movie theatre in the 90s - nice place to go for a family movie outing.
It's walking distance from our home, so a movie night is logistically the easiest entertainment option for us. The selection is decent, and Tuesday prices are the best. We have changed entertainment plans a few times, though, when we found out that the movie we wanted to watch was in the small theatre. But they rotate titles depending on the hour, so you can see the same movie in the big and small room.
