Awesome Chili Relano!!! Actually had cheese in it! Beans were alright but rice wasn't my favorite. Horchata was so tasty, wanted to drive back for another! Get one! Did takeout, place looked nice, customers seemed happy. Worth a visit for sure. Price was a bit higher than most places I've eaten same meal but what's $5 here or there. My 2nd favorite Mexican place in BC so far
Can’t believe I’ve never been to this place before, the food was SO good! They have tons of vegetarian options, which is always great. The Flautas was definitely my favourite dish, so flavourful and the filling was amazing. The Queso Fundido was also really yummy but I didn’t like the vegan chorizo in there. The best taco is definitely the Taco de Coliflor. The deserts ALL looked good but we went with the safest and least messy option which was just the 4 CHURROS! with added cajeta. The drinks are pretty mediocre except for the Horchata which was soooo good. Only downside of this location was the service. They forgot to give us cutlery, we kept having to wait long periods of time in between seeing any server, and our food took forever to come. An hour dinner turned into a two hour outing because of how delayed everything was. But other than that, really cute place and the food definitely makes up for the service.
I had the beef huarache. It was good, but not amazing. The outdoor seating can be loud due to the busy road. The sign for the restaurant is only visible in one direction, so it’s hard to know where to turn when you’re turning right into the lot.
Always amazing service, food and drinks. They have a great happy hour and you can never go wrong with ordering chips and guac at the start of any visit.
I had this place saved on my “want to go” list for the longest time and just happened to be in Chilliwack for a taco Tuesday. I was slightly disappointed as my food seemed a bit bland compared to what I was expecting enchiladas, however, quality was super fresh and my partner had tacos and he enjoyed them and said they were some of the best. We also ordered guacamole and chips and it came with three salsas/sauces and all were super good. The guacamole tasted great. The margarita was kind of disappointing.
Amazing food and service. They have another location in langley where I go quite often so I have no doubts about the food taste. This restaurant is convenient to find but the plaza exit is little tricky else every thing else is awesome.
Highly recommend Hugo's Mexican Kitchen! Great food, including gluten-free and vegan options. Had the Hugo Bowl with beer battered cauliflower and a horchata, and everything was delicious. Plus it's super affordable too! Vegetarian options: Everything had a vegetarian or vegan option Parking: 10+ spots right out front Dietary restrictions: Suitable for gluten-free or vegan diets
Food and drinks were delicious, atmosphere is great too. The guacamole is also 10/10.
There are a lot of different Mexican restaurants here in the whack. Each one has their strong suit. Hugo's selection is quite nice. I haven't had a lot of items on the menu yet but what I have had has been consistenly tasty. Their sopa de tortilla is fantastic. Lots of cilantro, onions and fixings. Their flautas are action packed with toppings. The chilaquiles remind me of mornings in sayulita opening up the rental shop and having Cecilia bring me a homemade batch. Mmmmmm Come and enjoy something different. A jalisco style of cooking.
My husband and I absolutely fell in love with Hugo’s and when we got engaged we knew we wanted them with us on our day! We had the best time at our tasting. The staff was so wonderful and sat down with us to discuss all of our hopes for the food. We needed gluten free options as well as vegan while also serving chicken and even with our complicated request they executed it beautifully! Months later we still have people talking about the cactus tacos! Our caterers on the day set up and took down without us even noticing, I didn’t even realize they left before I could thank them. We could not have asked for a better experience for our wedding! You will not be disappointed when hiring them!
