Hugo's Family Marketplace

This market surprised me. Being from CA I am used to high prices, but this market was higher on items that I usually pay for. I was disappointed that some of their potato salads had sell by dates the day before I shopped. They were still selling food past the best by date. Their produce wasn’t fresh. Many items should have been pulled from the shelves, but were not. I recommend looking carefully at all produce even in packages before purchasing and plan to use what you do buy very quickly. Check dates on deli products and if you get there as the deli is closing, forget it, they will lose the sale rather than slice meat for you. The store is very clean, and checkout clerks very friendly, although they bag one item per bag most of the time. Go figure,

I love Hugo's, Jamestown ND.nThey have the most delicious Deli. Their chicken breasts and yellow mustard potato salad is the best!!nThey bag your groceries for you.. their prices are great.nAnother thing is they have plenty in stock, where Walmart has very few things in stock especially for the amount of certain things I purchase.nI lost my husband, a combat paratrooper. So I don't like to go out much right now.nSo, mostly, I love their delivery service. They are so kind, all of them. Jack's my guy!!nThank you for everything.nCandy Bussiere

Hugo’s Jamestown employee went to check on a sale price and never came back but started checking other people out and didn’t tell me he didn’t find it.nAnother employee told me he didn’t find the item so I went back and found the item brought the sale price tag to the employee and she corrected the item, then walked away. I asked her no sorry or thank you or anything and she mumbled something. Poor customer service at self-checkout.

The guy working the sushi counter stopped me from getting old sushi so he could make it for me fresh. He didn't have to do that. Awesome customer service, made my morning.

This place is quite amazing! Prices are fair and balanced and the employees are pretty pleasant and kind. While my mom is usually the one in here, I've been in here a few times, and it is always amazing when I come in. Great job everyone!
