So pretty and everyone was super helpful! My back is injured, and without having to ask they got the plants out for me, bagged them, wheeled them up front and loaded them into my car. The place absolutely beautiful and worth the trip just for a walk around the grounds.
Wow!! Amazing. Absolutely stunning. Love this place. Grounds are stunning. LOTS of variety of water plants, friendly, knowledgeable staff and beautiful Koi. Can't wait to go back. Highly recommend.
Wow I am totally blown away. Who knew this place existed! I searched for pond supplies and found it and are we ever glad. They have so many fountains and ponds and flowers and plants and more. Lovely drive through the country to get there was an additional bonus for us. We meandered along a pathway past old growth bamboo around a large pond and found a secreted waterfalls, places to sit and ponder or just relax. The staff we talked to were very knowledgeable and friendly, eager to share tidbits with us or answer questions. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will be back. Oh we found exactly what we needed to repair our fountain and a kit to build another.
Oh, I loved it!! Great customer service and the gal that was in training did an amazing job as well. Very in tuned with the customers and also attenting to the plants as well. Let me share some pictures
Found the pond plants we were looking for. Plants were healthy, and the prices were better than any I have found online. The staff were friendly and informative. The plant tags explained plant requirements. If you need to populate your pond, they have almost every plant you want.
Hughes Water Garden was pretty cool! We drove out there from Troutdale to see what water plants and lilies they had. Unfortunately, I think it was too early in the season because they did not have a large selection of water plants. However, they do have some cool . It's a nice country road drive three miles off Stafford Rd & I-205.
Great place to visit a little pricey though.
lovely location, helpful and friendly staff, very nice ponds, great selection of water plants
so beautiful!! very nice plants for sale and friendly staff!! also free tadpoles!! how can u go wrong
This was my second time visiting Hughes Water Gardens. I needed some plants for a water garden I wanted to create from an idea in a magazine. This was my first time for a water garden. I had a container and just needed plants and lots of advice. The employee who helped me was very knowledgeable and directed me to the appropriate plants for my container. The plants she suggested were a perfect fit for my project. The plants were good sized and ranged between about $15 - $35 each. I purchased five plants, a pump and separate bubbler, and some mosquito dunks. Total cost was about $154. Hughes is a unique place, the extensive water plant displays offer a big selection. They also have garden decor, a good selection of water pumps, and other plants. It's very tranquil and calming. Nice place to wander through the displays on the property. So far, my water plants are doing well. Here's a pic of my water garden just finished last week. A fun project. The second picture represents the new location in my yard for the water garden and new plants for 2022. Shortly after my first water garden was up and running as shown in the first picture, a raccoon damaged the entire thing, leaving just shreds of most plants. I relocated the water garden and needed new plants this year. As usual, I found great selection of plants, beautiful pots, fish, tadpoles, pond supplies and other yard decor. Usually make 2-3 trips there each year!
