I had a procedure done several years ago and a follow up not too long ago. Dr. Hetherington is skilled. I wouldn't trust anyone else. And his nurses are the BEST.

I had a breast augmentation about 8 years ago. After swelling went down I noticed one implant was on top of the muscle and the other was underneath. When I went in for a post operative check I expressed my concern and he reassured me everything would be fine and it shouldn't be that much of a difference. I was young, naive, and believed him.
Over the years the implant on top of the muscle started to really weigh down my skin and stretch it out, including my nipple. Now that nipple is about twice the size of the other. Also you can see the entire implant outline versus the other one you cannot.
Not only is it aesthetically displeasing but since one implant has had more support (from being under the muscle), it has caused physical issues as well.
Not only am I super self conscious about the way I look now but I also have to dish out three times the amount I initially paid to improve my breasts just to get them fixed.

If I could give zero stars I would. My mother had a hematoma from an implant placed 27 years ago. Dr. Hetherington removed the hematoma along with the implant. After the surgery, fluid kept returning (he did not remove the capsule) and his recommendation was needle aspirations to remove the fluid until it stopped coming back. After multiple times of falling through the cracks of Dr. Hetherintons schedule and being 'forgot' about, and after EIGHT needle aspirations, we decided to seek a second opinion, only to find that the fluid would never stop returning if the capsule was not removed. Dr. Hetherington should not be practicing. He does not take the patients concern, questions, or needs/wants into consideration when discussing/proceeding with treatment. He does not listen to anything you say and does not answer any questions or concerns that you have. Pre-op he will make you feel as if you are being cared for, but the second the surgery is done you are sent on your way, simply to become a statistic. If you do not take your care into your own hands you would not be seen again.
As a medical professional myself, my first priority in patient care is hearing and addressing the patients concerns. Making sure they are comfortable with and understand the procedures, and working together to a common goal of both parties. If you want to be taken care of from start to finish and want to see the results you have asked/seeked medical help for, DO NOT see Dr. Hetherington.

Had a bad ear infection and ear felt clogged (even though it wasn't). His office tested me for hearing loss which there is slightly due to the infection. I told him my symptoms and he looked in my ear and then proceeded to take a foot long probe instrument and directly scraped my ear drum saying there was a little ear wax on my ear drum (he showed me the instrument, and there was next to nothing on it. Excruciatingly painful. Before he did it, I asked if there was a fluid he could put in there to wash out my ear instead-- he just shook his head and said "nah". I would not recommend him to anybody. He didn't help my condition, gave me no advice and left me on my way.
