Howard Johnson Express Inn - Winnipeg West

September 2017 My partner and I live in Winnipeg, and were looking for a place to stay while having some renovations done to our home. The Howard Johnson Winnipeg West was just a 10 minute drive from work and for less than $100 per night, it was a perfect fit! We have a foster dog that needed to stay with us and they were able to accommodate us with a pet friendly room for only $10 per night. The front desk staff was very knowledgeable, personable and efficient. This hotel is not for everyone, however. This is not a luxurious place to stay and it isn't easily accessible to much of the city (as it is as far west as it gets). It is a simply a comfortable, functional place to stay.

I went for wing night at the sports bar. The service and atmosphere was good. I did leave feeling a little sick after the wings I ate.

Since it's close to the highway, lots of sounds at night, I always like to sleep on the outside area they have for more privacy but going to the second floor in the hotel would be better for peace and quiet

Food is great, staff is also wonderful. Great place to kick back and watch a game with buds.
