Hotel Shoreham

We love "The Hotel" that isn't a hotel. It is history from the era from when it served as food and lodging for lake travellers. Now it is a trendy historic place to eat. Has fabulous food and service. They have great pizza and also high end meals. You will be more than satisfied with anything you order. There is outdoor and indoor seating, beer wine, and cocktails. I highly recommend Hotel Shoreham. The only negative I can think of is that they don't serve until 4pm. Would love to see the hours expanded for lunch.

5 stars for this awesome landmark, but only 1 star for the food - wow - I've not been at Hotel Shoreham for a couple years and I was back at the lake for the summer and SO looking forward to my first walleye dinner. I'm SO disappointed in how the food prep and quality has gone downhill. I was looking forward to the delicious pan-fried walleye I remembered and instead, I got almost deep-fried fish with nothing special for seasoning ($26). I will say the dill dressing is still delicious! The salad was good - especially with the yummy dill dressing. The side of veggies tasted like rubber. I'm pretty sure they pulled frozen veggies out and threw them in the micro - yuck! It's an easy time of year to get super fresh veggies - what are they thinking?? We also ordered the Alaskan Walleye strips - aka Pollock. Five or six for $11 and they were barely average. Our total bill for one walleye meal, 3 sodas, one appetizer was $60! If it had been delicious, I wouldn't be writing this review. This establishment should be MUCH better. I won't be back until I hear there's been a lot of improvement in the kitchen.

Good service. Entrees just so so. Pizza looked good. Overpriced. Won't go back.

Very interesting place, half seating is inside and half outside, had the walleye dinner and some chicken wings. Both were amazing and no bones in the walleye either!

Best all around menu vs price in DL. Warning: can get really crowded, so service suffers. Not servers' fault, though. Great service otherwise. Consistent food. Good beer selection. Great part of DL history.
