I stayed at Hotel North Two for one night, because my connecting flight to Rigolet was the next morning. I slept on a comfortable, queen size bed. The room was quiet and clean.
Stayed in North West River location. We asked ahead of time if there were 2 queen sized beds, we were told yes. There was a double and a single. Was never told about the laundry service available on site. Was not given a key for that service. Only learned about it on our last night by another guest. Rooms looked nice, but the floor was very dirty. We never wore our shoes inside, but our feet were black when we washed. Was like this the entire stay. Asked to have the manager contact us. They never did, and we made sure the motel had my number. Staff in office appeared bothered by our asking questions. At this point I would not recommend staying there.
Booked a queen room for one night stay. With the price of 229$ plus tax for all standard queen rooms one would expect the same amenities in each room of same price. The room assigned for the stay had location main floor, next to laundry room. Wifi non accessible due to location of room, called front reception twice to have issue fixed or accommodated nothing could be done, air conditioning unit two small for square footage of room, and in 20+ degree weather this is a need due to humidity, called reception for a fan to help circulate air in the big room, they have none. Water located in refrigerator 2$ +tax. 20% surcharge is applied for any snacks/water used by patrons if not reported to front desk.nQueen bed three flat pillows, only two facecloths, one hand towel, two bath towels, and all lights in the room controlled by the one switch. Room 102 is not worth 229$ plus tax. All queen standard rooms should have same amenities and if not rooms pricing should reflect such. Customer services is poor and room quality is not good. This was the second stay at this location during summer. it will be a last due to lack of customer service and poor room quality.
North Two is a comparatively large hotel in Goose Bay-Happy Valley.nThe room I'm currently in seems like it was redone lately. The paint is fresh, everything is in good working order, the shower has good temp and pressure. There is a fridge and a drip coffee machine.nJumble Jim's restaurant is a pretty good spot for a quick bite. Wednesday wing night half price is always a treat.nThere's nothing romantic about the North Two. You sleep here. It's clean and functional. It feels better this time than the last time I stayed here.nFor my purposes this week, it's perfect.
Lovely hotel and restaurant staff. Food was great! Beds were a bit small. Bathroom is extremely small. There is 2 bottles of water in the fridge.. $2 each!! Also if you don’t inform the staff that you drank the water, it’s an extra 20% charge! That is absolutely ridiculous in my opinion. For almost $200 a night, a bottle of water or 2 should NOT be something you have to pay for!
